We have separate classes for ages 5-7, 8-13 beginner, 8-13 advanced, and adults and teens. Jason Jeannette (or "Coach J" as the kids call him) has a couple of black belts in traditional martial arts that he doesn't care to talk about.
After realizing that black belts don't mean anything when it comes to defending against actual violence he began to study Muay Thai kickboxing, submission grappling and various reality-based systems such as Krav Maga.He has been training in martial arts for over 30 years, teaching full time for 15 and has been owner and head coach at Elite Martial Arts for over a decade.

Services
Our mission is to bring modern, practical self-defense training to Nashville in a positive and safe environment. The curriculum is a reality-based and constantly evolving mix of Boxing, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Wrestling and Krav Maga. If it works, we use it. If it doesn't, we throw it out.
Our Reality Based Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) program teaches the skills used in MMA competition but with a street defense mentality and without the "fighting gym" atmosphere. Most of people who train in MMA gyms never enter the ring and don't possess a genuine street fighting skill set. We'll teach you how to defend yourself inside and outside the gym using Submission Grappling, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Krav Maga.
This level covers basic striking and grappling while omitting submission skills because we don't trust these little maniacs until they're a bit older. They can spend up to 2 years in this class if needed but the goal is to get bumped into the Level 1 class by developing the coordination, listening skills, and empathy needed to participate in the higher levels safely.

I cannot say enough nice things about coach Jason! He is a pro at his job! He helped me with self confidence and taught me so much! He acts like we’re all his real family and he’s always enthusiastic no matter what! He spreads around his good energy and he makes everyone feel so much better. I’m in his adults class, but I see how patient and extremely good he is with kids! If you’re looking for a place with a good environment, positivity, respect and a badass training, Elite Bellevue is the place!

I have been a student at Elite Martial Arts, Bellevue since 2009, and I love the gym as much today as I did when I first started.
The adult classes are perfect. You learn real self defense, Krav, Boxing, Kick Boxing, and Jiu Jitsu in a real world setting. Whether you compete or not, you will recieve the same level of instruction...something that sets this gym apart. Most gyms spend a lot of time with their competitors, but the people who just want to train and have fun are left alone. Not here. Jason Jeanette LOVES to teach and is very good at it.
