A boxer/pit mix, we adopted him when he was one year old. He moved with us from New York to California. He was our king, our prince. Tsavo lived a healthy, carefree life until the age of 6, when he was first diagnosed with cancer. At that point in my career, I had been a veterinary technician for 6 years, and already had experience working with general practice, emergency / critical care, internal medicine, oncology, and orthopedic veterinarians.

My 15 year old girl, Cocoa tore her ACL walking down a couple steps. My primary vet said she was too old for surgery, prescribed pain pills and said there's nothing more we can do. I knew there had to be something, which is where Tsavo's came in. You can feel the love and passion every single person working at the clinic has for all the animals there. They truly care and will do everything in their power to help. Maja recommended several supplements as well as switching her food and I noticed a difference right away. I drove 45 minutes one way, twice a week to take my sweet girl to therapy

If your pup needs rehabilitation, Tsavo's is the place to go!
It was awful when my vet told me the news that my dog, needed to get TCL surgery , I had to get multiple opinions from other vets, but they all came back with the same diagnosis. So after a painful 2 weeks of my dog wearing a cast ( sleepless nights, carrying him everywhere while living in an apartment) the time came to remove it and begin his rehabilitation.
The vet send us some exercises to begin with, but he encouraged us to try water therapy. I have a very anxious dog, so getting him to do the exercises by myself was so complicated

Tsavo's is AMAZING!!! Maja and the team are absolutely incredible. We brought our 14 year old labradoodle Jake Dog to them about six months ago when he started to struggle to walk, Juno, get up stairs. He was (and is) mentally amazing but his body was failing him. Tsavo's worked magic and Jake is running around like a middle aged dog again even getting up the stairs in his own. I can't recommend them or thank them more for all of their work, dedication and love to our pack. Thank you Tsavo's!!!

Back in 2019 our pug, Kiwi, had to have back surgery on several discs. The surgeon explained to us that he would not recover without rehabilitation, and recommended Tsavos. We met with Maya, who had consulted with our surgeon before we arrived, and she assessed Kiwi, absolutely confident that she would have him back to normal soon. And in fact, the day after his first therapy session with her, he stood up on his own for the first time. Over the next couple months we brought him in regularly, and sure enough, when he graduated from rehabilitation, he was back to running around the house. Maya and

I was overwhelmed today with gratitude as I watched my foster pup run at the park. Run... 2 months ago her legs were collapsing behind her at the end of the day, her legs were so weak. Hip dysplasia and arthritis has gotten the best of her.
After about 6 weeks of therapy this happy girl got so far away from me at the park, I had to chase her down ! We spent an hour at the park today. And she was running, trotting and playing with other dogs.
She has never looked this healthy and happy in the 2 months I have been fostering her.
Maya (therapist / owner) gave me a list of supplements

I can't even tell you how fortunate that we found Tsavo's. During a routine procedure our Vet injured our dog's back and he had trouble walking. They diagnosed it as a torn CCL, which was a old injury and recommended it get repaired. We trusted the vet and he fixed the knee. To my surprise, my dog still had trouble walking and had the same unsteady gait he had when he returned from the vet the first time. I took him back and he was diagnosed correctly with IVDD and admitted to the hospital for 6 days of IV steroids. When he came home, he could not walk, and I needed to be with him

Tsavo's has been a godsend. I started searching for rehabilitation for dogs when my 8 year old, "perfect" ridgeback suddenly started subtly dragging her back leg. She seemed depressed and hesitant about jumping in and out of the car, on and off the bed, etc. I knew something was wrong, but didn't want to be told by my vet she is just getting old and needs pain meds for the rest of her life - so I tried Tsavo's .
Long-story-short: Maja and her crew have literally given me back my healthy pain-free happy dog. There is an obvious difference - I have cried happy tears watching

I'm not sure what I'm missing here. I was recommended here by my Vet, who I love and trust, to assist in water therapy for a rescue we recently adopted. I went on my appointment date and was met by an employee that didn't even know what injury my dog had! Started talking about knees while his on the treadmill. I had to remind her it was his hip. After 20 minutes, we finish, I ask what's next, do I make another appointment? She goes to the other building where the owner is, like the wizard behind the curtain and says she will contact you for the next appointment. 3 weeks later

Another shout out to Tsavos and their beautiful new facility which gets more awesome all the time. The pup fan club and their human families know it's all about the good work here. Maja and the crew have seriously stepped up the game and created an entire country setting to devote their time to the well being and rehabilitation of their furry Clients.

Our 5 year old Frenchie was having back pain that was affecting her everyday life and personality. She didn't want to play or go for walks and would shake with pain sometimes. We took her here for 8 sessions of hydrotherapy and electroshockwave therapy. After only a few sessions, we could already notice a tremendous difference in our girl. She was full of life again and moving around like she used to do. Tsavo's is reasonably priced and you get excellent service. You can really tell that they love dogs and the job that they do. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for

Maja and her team are extraordinary! I have never experienced such passion for healing and such loving concern for our furry family members! Maja never gives up on helping dogs to heal - and the results we see from other pet parents each week we are there - are simply amazing. Misty is the second German Shepherd of ours they have treated and I can honestly say that she would likely be crippled completely if it wasn't for Maja, Danielle and the rest of the team. Our weekly visits have given Misty a whole new life. There are no words to express our gratitude.

Our 4 legged child tore his ACL (CCL in the canine world). After 2 consultations with surgeons we opted for the TPLO procedure. I asked both surgeons about physical therapy, both said it would help but was not required. Regardless, I'm a big proponent of physical therapy on the human side of things so we decided to explore the canine side of things. We looked at a few options and had a consultation with Maja at Tsavo's. We instantly felt great about it and so did the 4 legged child. Yesterday, Kona "graduated" from physical therapy, exactly 2 months post-TPLO surgery

There is no question they have helped my active senior boy continue his preferred life of activity. He's your A-typical Boxer, not ready to grow up, yet he's 10 years of age. He has compressed discs as well as signs of the dreaded DM, but god love him, he's not giving in anytime soon. The genuine interest, care and love for our pets here cannot be missed. Maja, Rena and the crew are wonderful. America's vets are schooled to cut and attempt to remove the problem, rather than manage and strengthen. Ironically, the last thing humans want to do is go under the knife. I highly recommend

Maja helped Apollo recover from a severe shoulder injury. Her rehab work helped our 8 year old feel happy and agile again. Apollo has more hip and lower back issues this year and we are glad to say Maja is helping him feel better. Highly recommend for any canine injury for the recovery process. My dog looks forward to meeting Maja!

After being told that my baby would never be able to stand or walk again, my boyfriend and I were devastated. Multiple veterinarian visits, countless hours of research and a third opinion later we were referred to Tsavo's Canine clinic. I literally cannot thank Maja and her staff enough. They welcomed my baby with open arms and Maja was determined to get him to walk again. A few sessions in we had to relocate and were concerned that his progress would be tainted. Well I'm very happy to report that not only can my baby stand, but he can definitely take steps and he even tries to run!!

OMG I love Maja!! She fit my Oso straight in for a consultation because he had a potential back injury. Couldn't have been sweeter to Oso and transparent and informative to me. She didn't bombard me with terrifying scenarios or sell me on unnecessary procedures. She was upfront and honest and just a pleasure to deal with. Cant wait to bring Oso back for some sessions to help loosen up his back.

My English bulldog Bella had 2 TPLO (ACL) surgeries in a span of 3 months, and after the 2nd I knew we had to do some type of rehab. I heard of Tsavo's through a colleague, and her surgeon also spoke highly of them. I read all the reviews and they are not wrong. I've only had 1 session so far, but could tell immediately how compassionate, knowledgeable, holistic, and individualized Maja and her team are. She took a thorough history, took time to bond with Bella, make her comfortable, and actually kept her calm which is a miracle because despite 2 recent surgeries she is ridiculously

Would highly recommend Tsavos. We brought our dog, Tashi, here after surgery to correct a torn cranial cruciate ligament. We are so happy with how much progress she has made thanks to Dr. Rena and everyone at Tsavos. They customized a plan for Tashi including laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, and water therapy. They also gave us instructions for exercises we could do at home to help build strength back up, including exercises we can do long-term when she no longer needs the laser and hydrotherapy. They treated her so well and worked so patiently with her, despite her stubbornness. We can&apos

We learned of Maja and Tsavo's Canine Rehabilitation facility, from VCA Specialty Hospital after our dog, Ginger, had elbow replacement surgery.
After evaluation and contact with Vet that performed surgery, Maja gave us a treatment plan that included shock wave therapy, hydro therapy, massage, new supplements and pain control.
She and her entire staff are patient, caring and highly qualified to help rehabilitate and help each pet with their specific needs.
Gingers rehabilitation is going really well and we are hoping she has a better quality of life, now that this surgery is behind her.
