These people are outright crooks, avoid going there. I had an accident yesterday and the police called them to tow my car to their facility on 36849 San Pedro, Fremont. I sent a tow truck from East Bay Collision center body shop to pick up and tow the car to their repair shop. They charged $300 to have the car towed last night to their yard as it was close to their closing time. This morning when the body shop sent a tow truck to fetch the car, at no cost, they refused and said they would have the car towed to the body shop and charged another $235. A bunch of thieves and crooks!!!

Do not use this company for any towing needs. They look for ways to overcharge by billing more time. Yesterday on the 880 freeway in Fremont our car was struck by a driveshaft from a truck. Both my tires popped and I pulled over on the freeways. Chp gets involved and they said it needs to be towed to clear the way. Tow truck guy shows up and immediately says it's 230 which we agreed to that we would have to pay upfront or he can take it to their yard and let insurance pay for it. I told him no to the yard because I know they would have added so many fees. The tire shop was a mile away and

They have towed moms car 3 time now due to an auto claim problem. Central towing and their drivers are excellent their dispatchers have been very polite and helpful.
After having one of the prior providers damage our car and cause a fire you really do appreciate smart professional company's like central towing.

Dad almost died in a car accident. Central towing picked up his truck.
A few hours later and about 3 hours of central towing holding his truck (yes 3 hours) while he fought for his life in the hospital, and central towing decided we owed $670.
Brendon, who was working January 25th 2018, Decided to threaten our family. He said that he wouldn’t even talk to us unless we gave him $100 upfront. He wouldn’t tell us the total price or if our truck was even there.
Brendon of central towing called this a “gate fee”. I guess Brendon of central towing didn’t realize that my brother is a retired

Do not use this company!!! I called to get my car towed to where I need it to buy new tires. I provided the adress to the lady I spoke, the tow truck was prompt. The only problem was the he took my car where he wanted to "Pep Boys" not where I requested to. I went to the location where I requested and my car never show up. Called the company and they told me the driver decided to take it to the nearest tire place and now i had to pay again to bring it to where I wanted. Central towing was fast and courteous and even dropped me off after picking me up from the scene of an accident. Obviously as tow truck companies go there are costs which you have no control over, but as I was in an accident, they were helpful and didn't make my experience any worse. My only complaint would be how dirty the cab of the truck was. But again, what do you expect from a tow company

My stepfather was involved in a very serious solo vehicle collision this afternoon after he suffered a life threatening medical issue that occurred while he was driving to his work in Livermore. Witnesses reported that he randomly drove off the road and ultimately collided into a fence with his foot still remaining pressing down on the accelerator. He was completely incapacitated unable to even communicate or understand what was going on. First responders arrived on scene and he was ultimately transported via ambulance to a local hospital emergency room for life threatening medical aid of his injuries

Bringing the rating on this company down. I stalled in Fremont, and they did not have a truck close by to assist me. To make things worse, they just hung up without even trying to help by sending any of their trucks over. I would have waited the usual 45 min if they told me. But nope, they don't want the business.
Time for companies like this to reinvest or transform to win more business. If they don't want to, then close down and let others do the work.

My auto insurance had Central Towing tow my foreign brand vehicle from Union City to Fremont for service earlier today. The driver Chris was so professional and skillful at his job. Car would not start, battery run down, steering wheel immovable with tires angled left. First he worked hard and found the special tow-pin deep in the trunk as he said it was the safest way to move the car. With great effort, and ingenuity, using alternate wood blocks, he managed to coax the vehicle up the ramp and secure it safely. Along the way we conversed. This is literally the worst, most unprofessional, non-communicative, poorly trained customer service experience I have ever received in my life!!! If I could give this business less than a 1 star rating, I most certainly would!
My car broke down on a busy freeway during rush hour traffic, so I contacted my auto insurance's roadside assistance, who informed me that Central Towing would tow my car and gave me an ETA of a 3 hour wait. So I had a nearby relative pick me up in the meantime and take me to a parking lot just off the next freeway exit to wait in a safer location, which I informed

My car was stolen in Hayward awhile back. about a week later the sheriff called me and said the car was impounded by Hayward PD, I call Hayward PD and they tell me my stolen Camry was found in Castro Valley and towed by Central Tow. This company has a relationship with the CHP, which calls it in case of a need for a tow. Meaning that the price is high. A tow from the Fremont Fry's Electronics to their yard near U-Haul of Thornton, which is approx. 5 miles cost $179. A day of storage is $79. These are mid-2015 prices.

This is my first time for a review on Yelp, but I feel central towing worth it.
I had a long bad day and my car's key was stolen. I called the America express roadside service for help, they helped me found central towing. they arrived in less than one hour, cost me 70 something for 13 miles. The other towing company were ask around 150-200.
Bid nice towing truck, the driver were very nice/helpful. The whole process is smooth. Their service just made my bad day better.

A car that was registered to me got towed & impounded by Central Tow while my son was driving because of a CHP issue, i was in Los Angeles, so called & talked with a supervisor named Audbrey Jeffries, who said I need to send them the original of a signed & notarized letter,authorizing someone else to pick up the car, I told her I was in Los Angeles on a business trip & won't be back until after 5 days....told her I could fax or email her a PDF of the letter, she goes "No that is not acceptable. Our car was towed by this company from in front of our house for having an expired registration, it is a 97 civic with 225000 miles and we have had trouble getting it to pass smog, although we continued to replace parts and retest it several times over the last 6 months. I have no issue with the tow itself, the car was out of reg, although I incorrectly thought it was safe in front of the house.
