I highly recommend Jim Edwards and his company for anyone needing a home inspection. Inspecting a 100 year old farm house can be challenging. Jim demonstrated his attention to detail and quality service during the 2 1/2 hour inspection. He was accommodating in scheduling the inspection since I was travelling from out of state. After the inspection, Jim gave me a summary of the positives and negatives. The final report was detailed and included photos of each area. I am very satisfied with his work and found his fee very reasonable.

Jim is a wonderful contact to have in the area. I know how important a great home inspector is when buying a home and since we were purchasing from out of state, I called Jim first, and asked him for recommendations for other professionals in the area. With Jim’s helpful referrals we secured a great property and his inspection was very detailed and informative. He found items our contractor and others had missed, thus saving us frustrations down the line. We would definitely use Jim and Preferred Home Inspections again!

Jim was excellent. He did the home inspection on the house I am buying, and was very thorough. He pointed out all the items of concern and explained everything very clearly. His timing was great as well. The inspection was done in the morning, and he had the report finished and sent to me before the day was over. The report was also very thorough, but clear and organized. I would absolutely recommend using Preferred Home Inspections!
