Rainbow Place Preschool is a ministry program of Faith Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn. Our program has been guiding children and their families in these valuable first school experiences since 1981. We offer a traditional half-day program, Enrichment classes, and an all-day program format for children 3, 4, and 5-years-old.
A Young 3's class began in 2012 for children to get a taste of the joys of preschool. Our classes provide children a loving Christian environment in which to participate in positive social experiences and creative, hands-on opportunities for learning and discovery. We hope this not only provides for kindergarten readiness, but a strong foundation for a joy of life-long learning.

Services
There is such a gift in being able to talk personally. We'd appreciated the opportunity to share more about our programs and current enrollment options with you. In- person visits are once again being scheduled. Being able to see and witness the joys of these preschool days and what opportunities are potentially awaiting for your child is a valuable supplement to what is shared here.
Our ground floor classrooms are filled with natural light and provide child-friendly, safe and engaging spaces. The church grounds provide our classes many opportunities for linking nature and learning. A butterfly garden allows us to see wildflowers grow from down by our feet to all the way above our heads.
A theme day based on the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar would be introduced at storytime with the book or an interactive flannel piece story.
Snack could be served of what the caterpillar eats in this story -oranges, plums, cheese, watermelon, etc. Children can recreate the story by drawing their own version (seen right) or by making painted handprint caterpillars, tissue paper versions, or glued creations of pom pons that explore many creative expressions.An outdoor walk in our Butterfly Garden is a great nature extension.
