Services
St. Matthew Parish School is a private, Catholic preschool through 8th grade school located in Glendale Heights. The school is registered with, and has received formal recognition from, the Illinois State School Board of Education. The school has also received a Certificate of Accreditation by the NCA Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
We are very proud of our school, our faculty and support staff, and most of all, our student body. For over 60 years St. Matthew Parish School has provided many wonderful activities for our students. Our strong academic program along with sound Catholic teachings and traditions continue to be active and vital to the Glendale Heights community.

St. Matthew has been a huge part of mine life. My parents sent my 3 siblings and I there K-8. Throughout the years we have made life time friends and memories. From an alumni and parishioner, to now an active parent, St. Matthew has continued to provide an excellent education, great parent and community involvement, and admirable morals and ethics to live by.

As a parishioner and alumni, I have so many fond memories of growing up at St. Matthews.
When it was time to find a school for my children, it was only natural to include St Matthews in the possibilities. Ultimately, our decision really boiled down to two factors:
- tuition
- drop off and pick up times
Coming from a local daycare, I was shocked by how much we were saving at St. Matthews. The fact that they offered all day PreSchool was a blessing that not many other schools in my town offer.
I'll admit, I was initially a bit apprehensive about sending my kids to all day preschool at

From Pre-School to 8th Grade, St. Matthew Parish School does so much more than what is required by the state when it comes to educating our children. St. Matthew's teachers, administrators and support staff are completely invested in the academic, spiritual and personal development of each child. We have two children at the school, and are very satisfied with the way they are developing in all facets of the educational experience. The teachers are fantastic, and the principal has done a great job in getting as much as she can for the limited budget she has to work with.

My 4 year old attended preschool at St. Matthews for the first time this year, and our only regret is not starting him sooner! The teachers are caring and always organize amazing and creative lessons to help the kids prepare for kindergarten but in a fun and creative way. I am amazed by the amount of thought and energy that goes into creating these experiences for them. Before the school year, he showed little interest in reading or writing but has grown by leaps and bounds, and we are amazed by his progress!
