Rooms are small, they don't have microwave, Refrigerator and even no iron. They have the old window attach air conditioner & heater not working propertly.
BREAKFAST is the worse I had have so far in a Hotel.
Just a couple breads, mini mini milk mini mini juice and a banana. That's all.

The Clocktower Inn is suffering from severe neglect. The Check-in was awful on Wednesday, December 22nd at 7:00 PM. The female on duty took a very long time to find my reservation through Hotels.com and acted as if she did not care if we checked-in or not.
The staff at other times was courteous. The condition of the hotel was awful.
The door was damaged on the inside from a previous break-in. The sunroom-courtyard roof was leaking badly and was closed the second day. The "complimentary breakfast" consisted of wrapped pastry "ala 7-11.
The room was in shabby condition. The towels

Don’t scroll past this review. I promise you’re going to want to hear about our experience dealing with the Clocktower Inn before considering staying here.
First of all, for context, this is my first time writing a review of a business of any kind. My experience was THAT bad.
So my boyfriend and I booked a stay here. Our reservation was booked through Expedia about a week ahead of time. We booked a room with a King bed. We show up at about 8pm after an exhausting day of travel. Upon arriving, the first thing the front desk person tells us is, although we booked a room with a King size bed

This place is the worst!!! place I have ever stayed…. This place had bed bags and it’s dirty, the bathrooms are very small and dirty the rooms have the heater right where the bed is…. It’s better to pay a little more money and stay in a other hotel…. There is some homeless people walking in the parking lot.

Wife and I booked 3 nights here. Red flags popped up right away when we arrived at the check-in time and were told it would be another 30 minutes before our room would be ready.
When we finally got into the room there was a severe chemical smell that we could only guess was their cleaning product. It was rancid and it wouldn't go away, even with the balcony door open.
Then the heater didn't work. The curtains were pinned together because they wouldn't close properly. The tub was dirty. The sheets were dirty. There was something oily on the floor, and when we grabbed a towel to cover

If you're looking for an old, smelly, tiny hotel room run by people who bully senior citizens, this is the place for you. Their maintenance staff refuses to wear a mask in close quarters with people who are staying there, and my 76 year-old mother was kicked out for insisting that a mask be worn (per the law!). She called me in tears as her phone was dying and she urgently had to find a new place to stay. I attempted to call and smooth the situation over, and was hung up on.

Highly recommend staying anywhere but here.

What I look for in a hotel! Is no carpet and white sheets! I've been going to Ventura for 40 years! Camping surfing fishing eating drinking! My husband proposed to me at the cross in 1988! We love this area! This past weekend we stayed at the clock tower! And all the reviews I read complained about the homeless and the parking lot! They only had a three star rating! Well it should be a 5++! The homeless is all over Ventura and it has been forever no hotel can avoid that! As far as parking unload your stuff and just park anywhere? I want to give a shout out to the front desk Louisa

As we've seen from some previous reviews I would probably not stay here again. They say they are fixing issues but they clearly are not. They'll charge as much as possible making very little repairs until they can run the place into the ground. As said previously there are a lot of unhoused people in the park, which we encountered while getting our bags. Our bedding was somewhat unclean, and when we brought this up at check out we were brushed off. The fan cannot be turned off in the bathroom and blows dust that sticks to everything after a shower. This is the first hotel I've stayed

We just stayed overnight. It's so smelly, and I found an undies at the back of the tv console, while plugging my charger behind it. The shower spout was too low and I had to bend my knees to wash my hair. But, I like the vibe of the place, and Luisa is very accommodating and nice.

Comfortable mattress, great location. I am taking a star because they still use tiny toiletries. No hotel should be using one-time use plastic containers anymore. It’s environmentally insensitive.

We love this place and always stay here when we visit VC. Last night way after midnight we could hear “Silent Night” playing in the corridor over and over. Loud enough to keep us awake but it went off at 1am.

Location is nice but service defenitely the worse!
We have been trying to contact LUISA for 2.5 weeks leaving several messages for a room block! After 2 minutes of the phone ringing she answers and says its full! I feel like if she is on top of her work situations like this wouldnt happen! They act as if they are so busy when half of the time they are just on their phones!
Don't recommend!

Our son arranged the reservation for our anniversary. Although the staff eventually found our names associated with the reservation, it was a 3 ringed circus just to be able to get into our room (caution,
so much bigger and beautiful on line) It is a boutique "hotel", but little has changed since it was expanded upon from an old fire station in 1985 (decor, beds, bathrooms) The adjacent restaurant was closed, so we ventured to Aloha Steakhouse (off the hook awesome!) We loved that all the main thoroughfares to the Mission and downtown were inaccessible to automobiles and restricted to pedestrian

Lots of potential wasted. What should have been a nice stay turned out to be very disappointing. This hotel is in a good location, looks nice on the outside, is close to restaurants, bars and the beach, but inside the hotel is disappointing. The lobby and courtyard are good, but the rooms are in need of some upgrades. It looks like some of the renovations that they've done were done sloppily. . The beds were relatively comfotable, so that's a plus. The worst thing about the room is the plumbing; shower pressure is the worst I've ever seen, seriously. Then there are issues with security

When we come into town this is our motel we come to. The staff is always friendly, accommodating and helpful. It's also clean and reasonably priced.
The only complaint, which isn't their fault, is the "Tavern" and the obnoxious noise level! They are on the west corner of Santa Clara. If you have small children, turn in early or wanted to use your balcony like we did, we were unable to sit on our balcony and it was 8PM! We went back inside our room because we couldn't hear each other at all.

Let me say first and foremost this in is one of the nicest places you can stay at Ventura Beach. Not only are the amenities and the quality off the stay at the highest level but the staff are beyond amazing and kind. My wife and family have stayed here several times and we’ve always had the memorable experiences.
The last time we came to Ventura we stayed with some friends at their homes and somehow lost my wife’s wallet outside by the water fountains and their staff (Sam) found it and did a complete inventory of the find, googled our names from the contents inside and called a family member

I love this place and we've been here dozens of times. It's quiet, and peaceful. The meandering tile rooms, the greenhouse in the middle of the hotel, the proximity to downtown, and of course the fireplace in our room all make it a special visit each time we visit. The parking lot is tiny and yet somehow we always manage to get a spot. The only thing I can say is checkout is at noon so don't bother to call for a late check out at 11:30 because they will not answer the phone.

I was excited to stay at the Clock tower inn. It seems charming online. When we got there, it is charming and the staff is all very friendly and helpful. We got a room with a balcony and it overlooked the public parking lot. It was very noisy and at times scary what we heard. The bed was very uncomfortable, we could feel the springs in the bed. At times we saw towels propping doors open, which gave us a very uneasy feeling. The location was nice, we loved being able to walk all around town, which is why we visited. The staff, Beach were great, and the walkability was 5 star. It seems it needs updating

Stayed here many times.. in the past .. but they dont answer the phone . Tried calling on different occasions in the last month , no one answer the phone. Why? Couldn't make reservations on line? Why? Went in and the person at the desk was rude... said they are booked, sold out. I guess everyone walked to the hotel, or were all out for the day. There wasn't 1 car in the parking lot. Hey , plenty of other places to stay. They dont want our business. That's fine.

Stumbling distance from the bars in beautiful Ventura downtown. Also two, maybe three, block away from c-street if you are into standing and balancing on a board while riding a wave. If all the above apply, then good place to stay. There is good a good parking spot if you can find it, and if you stay here you will only need to park the car once. Four out of five because if it had a pool... it would be perfect. Also parking could be a little bigger.

I love the staff... they made me feel at home. A small town can be intimidating sometimes but they made us (my daughter and I) feel right at home. The rooms are large, love the balcony. It's located in the best spot ever! Walking distance to the main energy of the town and within walking distance to the pier and the beach. I hope you have the same joyous, fun and intimate kind of beach town experience as we had during our stay here.

My husband and I stayed at the Clocktower Inn for 1 evening on Friday, October 16. We booked a queen room directly on their website. We were hesitant about the hotel due to fluctuating reviews, however we decided to proceed with the reservation largely due to the location nearby Main Street eateries and shops.

I would never recommend this hotel to a family member or friend, and I would not stay here again unless there were new ownership and deep upgrades.

Pro's for this hotel:
-The location is nearby Main Street (also see cons re: location below).
-The male who checked us in was polite

This hotel has a lot of potential but I would honestly not stay here again, and have on a few occasions told people asking for recommendations to avoid it.

Pros are the location which I think is great! I was able to walk to a delicious restaurant for dinner and it was an easy drive to the beach to surf. Also the hotel has a lot of potential, our room had a private patio which was great.

Cons are the staff/ policies and cleanliness.
When I got to this hotel the price given to me was about $30 above the online booking price through Priceline. I asked if they would match it and the woman said they
