I would recommend considering staying at a different property.
Pros: Furniture is modern
Cons: No included free breakfast as promised. Hot tub renovation on the website says it's supposed to be completed by 9/30/2021 but as of 11/9/21 it has yet to be completed. Sheets and pillowcases were not changed in our room and we found hair and stains on the sheets and top cover. Whenever we or our neighbors flushed the toilet, very foul and smelly dirty water would come up out of the sink drain. You WILL hear every step your upstairs neighbor makes.

I wish i could give this place 0 stars. the bathroom barn door FELL on top of me at 4 in the morning and they are trying to charge me $100 deposit because the door is broken. it literally fell off the hinges and landed on top of me luckily the person i was with was able to catch it before it completely smashed my entire 100lbs body. i am disabled and the way the customer service treated me was absolutely unacceptable they basically told me it was my fault. the front desk agent should be fired for his terrible customer service. he is upset that i didn't go straight up to the office at 4 am

Don't believe the negative reviews (if they're older). My understanding is the place recently underwent a renovation, and my stay was great!
The good- Staff was friendly, room was very clean and had great amenities. All the appliances etc were very new in the room, even had a fast wireless charging port in my room which was neat! The room I was in looked exactly as pictured. Everything was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.
The Bad- Only complaint I'd have, is it was right next to the road and we could hear traffic all night (but it was drowned out with the AC on).

I was stuck with out a place to stay on a rainy and windy night, I had money on my debit card. I saw this place and walked to the front desk, and they denied me service even after I ask them to double the deposit, and they still refused to give me a room. I ended up sleeping in my car, woke up with a cough and my head hurting so bad. Please don't support this type of business . First I offer to pay cash, they said I had to pay with card, so I pulled my debit card and than they said it had to be a credit card. All the pictures here look like they were taken in the 70s, lol. They've apparently undergone some MAJOR renovations, because the pictures I see here look nothing like the room I stayed in (Aug 2021). It's got fun, modern decor now, is clean, and is actually nice inside. I wish I'd have bothered to get pictures when I was there, but their website as of the time of this review reflects exactly what it looks like now, so you might wanna check that out to see if it's your thing. Don't rely on these atrocious photos here.

Not a great experience, first night was in 116, there was a thumping in the wall , sounded like a water line , kept us awake most of the night, even with ear plugs and a pillow over my head. Phone didn't work, chair was broken, one of the wheels was electric taped on, almost had an accident there. No water pressure. We moved to room 114 the next night, everything was fine until 12AM then a family moved in, sounded like they were having a wrestling match, yelling, pounding on the floor , banging open and closing the bathroom door, the parents were extremely inconsiderate letting their

You get what you pay for at this establishment. I would recommend throwing in an extra $20 and avoiding this location. Rooms have poor acoustics and you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbor is doing. I was not fond of the young man with dark hair that was running the front desk on a resent Sunday. He would not allow me a late check out, even though they were at 25% max and could have just done me the favor. He did not. He wanted me out at 11:15... so I rushed outta there and left. No thank you sir. Will not ever come back. No thanks. Terrible customer service.

The room I stayed in had brown stains all over the exterior of the toilet. The shower had suspicious spots all inside of it, with tons of little hairs. The bedspread had cigarette burns all over it. I can't believe I paid to stay there. They recently remodeled, but why if they take no pride in how they present their rooms? So gross. So disgusting.
I reached out to the General Manager - Danny S. and was told I should have reached out immediately. How could any room have been better? And I noticed these things when I finally had to use the bathroom. The

By far one of, if not the, worst customer service/hotel experiences of my life.
After issues with falling trees cut our tent camping activities short, at 1 in the morning my daughter, granddaughter (6 yo), and I grabbed essentials and piled into my truck. I looked at a booking site for the closest hotel and Casa Via Mar was the closest to us. I generally prefer to contact hotels directly for making reservations rather than through booking sites because the experience tends to be better dealing with the location directly.

Should've read the reviews before booking this room. The way they portray this place would make you feel like you are vacationing in a beautiful Spanish influenced resort, but don't let that fool you.
Gross rooms that have a stench that will stay on your clothes and luggage--the smell of a wet rag that has been sitting on the kitchen sink over night. The bath tub was yellow and you can tell they don't properly bleach it.
Not to mention the random sketchy activity in the area.
This place is gross, that's all I have to say.

One star for the friendly staff. None for the room itself. I've never seen such a gross room. Cigarette burns in the furniture and bedspread that looked like it was from the groovy 70's. There was even remnants of silly string on the ceiling! The rug was stained with only who knows what. I reserved two nights. We only stayed one for fear of bugs. We stored all of our belongings in the tub. I really need to read the reviews BEFORE booking! We didn't see any bugs though. Filthy! Everything had stains, even the microwave. The grounds however weren't bad. Nice landscaping.
