One of the best beaches and parks in Ventura County. We come here often and typically avoid parking charges by parking in the adjoining neighborhood. Oxnard Beach Park has playground equipment, grills, sand volleyball, plenty of open space, and bathrooms. I like this deep uncrowded beach (even during the summer you can get a nice spot). It's a great place to picnic and relax by the ocean. Also, on clear days you get a great view of the Channel Islands!

Lots of picnic tables and full BBQ areas as well as a spacious green lawn. The playground had a big kid and little kid section and seemed reasonably up to modern standards with a rubbery surface. Overall a good place for a dog walk, kid run, or family picnic.

One of the most beautiful beaches here and we enjoyed it. My first time out here this past summer. Nice family looking quiet clean beach. We played Volleyball with some strangers and hey might meet up again when out here again. Crowds they vary here, doesnt get overly packed here like the beaches in Los Angeles. Fun here and i will come back next year.

Excellent place to spend the day without the crowds. We are able to take our dogs and walk them on the beach. There is parking that you have to pay for but it's only a dollar an hour which is so worth it when you can park anywhere over there and not be bothered by the crowds.

It's a really nice pedestrian, or bicycle trail from the collection to Johnson in Ventura. Safest way other than the misdirected, unsafe, and dangerous train track route most people use

This is a great park! Large, wide open spaces. Volleyball courts. A wonderful kids playground with lots of structures to play on, slides, and more. BBQs and seating. All the gorgeous palm trees.

It's great for birthday parties and other celebrations or gatherings. And the location is striking! Right on the beach, just on the other side of some sand dunes.

Hands down, the BEST PARK Oxnard has to offer. Awesome Park & outstanding beach! Even on the most populated days, there's still TONS of space for kids to move around & play freely. Nothing but good-times. -805-

Oxnard Beach Park is a public beach park operated and maintained by the city of Oxnard. With direct access to the beach, the park features plenty of lawn space, free public barbeques with most tables that are spread around the area, kids play area, and palm tree lined pathways good for walking, jogging, running, biking and more. The grounds do need a bit of work as the grass could have been nicer/better but it's still a very nice park.

There's two covered group picnic areas which were closed off during the time I was here, but they featured plenty of space to host any type of events

Went to this dog friendly beach for the first time and it was really nice and clean. Wasnt too crowded due to social distancing rules in place. Dogs on leash. Beware of the tar on the beach! Had to go home and scrub it off my feet. A bit of a pain, but overall a nice beach to walk my dog. Parked on the street with no problem. A short walk thru the park to get to the beach.

It was a fun day buy the beach. I love this beach and I am ok with driving almost 40 minutes just to get to it. But I am wondering if it will remain like that for a long time. Group of teenagers that made a lot of noise and started fighting kind of ruined it for us. We moved farther from them and only then we could enjoy peacefully.

I appreciate how easy it is to reserve a pavilion here to have a party. This park is very clean and has plenty of space to erect a volleyball net. The playground area is also large for for kiddos to run and slide around. The one thing that was noticeable were the seagulls. They were aggressive but not as invasive and aggressive as the gangsta sky rats in Goleta.

20+ years ago I may have given this park a perfect 5 stars. This park and beach were in regular circulation of spots for my friends, family and I to hang out and have random picnics and BBQs.

Recently, I have made my way back here because I live pretty close by and I was stunned to find that the grassy areas were all yellow, or at least majority of them were.

It hasn't been hot and we are no longer in a "drought" so I wonder why it isn't its usually lush green. Anyways, that was what stuck out to me most. Although, there are 2 bathrooms that I know of, one at the park near

This is a great beach/park. I appreciate that you can sit on grass and sit under the trees to get shade! Parking is not really an issue ever because they have a great big parking lot! If u come on the weekend you might see the kite man that flys 100 foot kites! They are so beautiful and amazing to relax and view!

I like coming here to walk on the beach or walk around the park.
The beach is dog friendly.
You can walk along the beach path or just along the park itself.

You do have to pay for parking!! So don't forget your change because the machine does not give change back.

There are two public restrooms located in the park, one is near the parking lot and the other is closer to the beach.
The restrooms are decent. It's kept clean for the most part and I haven't had any concerns yet.

The playground is a decent size and full of activities for your kids.

I do like the fact that this

We decided to check out Oxnard one day during a recent camping trip at Point Mugu SP. We came here and found a long, beautiful stretch of coast that offered some relief from LA crowds. There were dunes, a great spot to roll out a blanket and watch the surf. Unfortunately, we also found a discarded (and exposed) needle on the ground next to our car when we returned, my toddler's bare feet inches away.

I'd like to think that it's a decent neighborhood and we had an unusually close call. I'll continue to surf up here, but I'll probably never come back with the fam, or at

We went to a friends bbq on Easter Sunday and this park was packed.

They charge for parking but there wasn't any parking spots available.

We had to park along a side street in the beach community located next to the park.

They had a few port a potties available.

There was a pirate themed jungle gym area for the kids.

There was only one available bbq area with 3 bbq's and some tables and a covered patio.
The sign said $300 deposit and $300 fee for holidays and $100 on any other days. Wow!

Our friends brought there own bbq and tables.

Located on the beach in a nice grassy area

This was our second time here, but I really liked it better than other beach areas I have been to in Oxnard. A tip I found from the first time is they have two parking areas. If you go to the first one on the right you are farther from the beach, if you want to be closer drive in and park at the second parking lot.

When we got there parking was fine, but later in the day when we left it was packed. There is a charge using machines so bring a five or ones with you because the machine I used didn't give change.

The park has tables and areas to have picnics and a play area for the kids.

We've been looking for a new park/beach to have our annual family get-together at since the other park we frequent has been extremely crowded and the bathroom situation simply awful. After hearing about how large and lovely Oxnard Beach Park was, we decided to check it out. We parked on the street as I heard there was a few to park in the park's lot. We were here early on a Sunday, so the place was quiet, only some joggers present. The grounds are pretty vast and green. There is a park area for the little ones to play in. Covered areas with benches can be reserved in advance (for a fee
