So I used this company last week and Eric Smith was who we worked with... His inspection style was completely different then every other inspector in DC for all the other reviews I've read on yelp, but it worked for us... However I wish I understood his style before hand, then I wouldn't have missed so much work... But he does the inspection and doesn't really want to talk about it until after he's done where he gives you a comprehensive review of everything he's found... I liked the style tho, it gave me a chance to really see the home past what I saw the 1st time and

I hired Eric Smith to inspect a one bedroom unit in a coop that I am purchasing in D.C. Eric was very responsive, he replied to my inquiry very quickly and was able to fit me into his schedule just a few days later. He arrived early and got to work immediately after getting to the unit. After he finished the inspection, we sat down and went through the pictures he took of problem areas and he explained exactly what should be done. Eric Smith came to inspect a condo I am purchasing. From the beginning of the transaction he was nothing but professional. He responded to my initial emails very quickly. He arrived to the appointment early and was patient when the property developer was late. He got into the unit and went about his work, taking notes and pictures. He made sure to explain things to me so that his report made sense later on. He didn't waste any time and did a very good job. He sent me a report with pictures at the end to make sure I was aware of any problems.
