At the entrance to the High Country, tucked away in the heart of Ashe County on Hwy. 16 North just off the Blue Ridge Parkway just beyond the Wilkes & Ashe County line. Just before the community of Glendale Springs, Famous for the Church of the Frescoes, also 4 miles from the world's second oldest river "The South Fork of the New River".
We have two separate rooms that can accommodate large groups, gatherings, or business meetings. The first room is upstairs an can hold up to 50 people. The room is FREE to use if you order food for your entire group. If you just need a place to meet its $100 for the day paid in advance when you arrive.

My fiance and I had dinner here Saturday night. I am a photographer so I am constantly on the move for sessions, especially along the parkway. This was the closest restaurant to us so we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. It may not look super fancy but the food was great! The salad bar was delicious and the staff was awesome! We had a great experience here and I would definitely go back!

We had been here over a year ago and the service was not good. Decided to give it another try. This time, the service was good, but the food however, was terrible. The fried fish platters are real gut bombs. I ordered the stuffed flounder and it was dry, tasted very fishy and did not taste fresh at all. I ended up only eating the baked potato and a little of the room temperature cole slaw. The hush puppies were good, but the fried coating upset my stomach for the rest of the night. I enjoy driving and finding new places. The Mountain Aire Seafood and Steaks Restaurant proved to be a welcome surprise with its excellent choices in seafood.
I ordered the salt and pepper catfish with fries and sweet tea. The catfish was super tasty and the crust was unbelievably crunchy with the perfect blend of herbs and spices.
The fries and tea rounded out my meal and my check was very reasonable. Needless to say my dog Bruster was happy to see the doggie bag.
As I paid my bill, the owner made some hiking suggestions so I took

We really enjoyed this restaurants Bang for your buck!
The Calabash shrimp was so yummy
Absolutely loved their hush puppies with the tarter sauce
I asked for onions to be added to my loaded baked potato and the chef went above and beyond added some tasty grilled onions under the melted cheese & I loved it!!
