Worst service ever paid through a group on special and saw no change in color. They were adamant about no partial refund and disrespectful about my request for a slight change, when I remained calm hoping for courteous agreement. I had a big event to attend too. Very unprofessional.

Did Japanese straightening here on July 15 with my mom the day before COVID shut everything down. Both our hair got extremely ruined, so now it's super dry and she didn't apply chemicals correctly, hair went back to normal. Horrible job. Never coming back here. They should get professional hair stylists because they clearly don't know what they're doing. 0/5. It wasn't fake actually. I came here and this lady did a horrible job. Hire better people thanks.

Beware, this place is just trying to make money off of you. So I thought I need to stop spending so much on my hair and should be smart and use a Groupon deal. Bought Zen Hair Fashions salon balayage Groupon for $100, called and made an appointment, and was told depending on the hair length there might be an extra charge. And I figured okay that's fine $15-$20 extra is fine (that's what I usually get charged) and I'm getting a haircut before going to this salon anyway. I got a haircut a few days prior and cut off about four inches of length and had them style it with long layers

Caitlyn did amazing on my hair earlier this afternoon! Was my first time going here and my first time getting a balayage, and I'm so glad I came to her. My hair turned out way better than I initially expected it to, (attached is the best and only picture I have of it at the moment, pictures or videos really don't do it justice!) and I couldn't be anymore happier with how it looks. Caitlyn was super nice and made sure every inch of my hair that needed to be covered, was covered -- knowing how thick my hair is. I had an unpleasant experience with misleading information. On the phone it was agreed the highlight will be done, this is based on assumption that they have the expertise to know usually highlight is not on client's base color 90% of time(blond on black would look strange). When I get there, I was then told coloring the base will be extra cost. This is not about the price, but bait and switch and misleading customers in hopes that some people would not want to drive there again and end up going for it.

I received a text that the balayage would be $110 instead of the usual price. When I got there they said I have to pay $50 more because of my length. I don't think that was reasonable at all and then they should have included that in the text that it will be starting at $110 but be more if hair length is longer. Very frustrating!
I showed Andy a picture of what I wanted and said that I am looking for a warmer, golden, blonde. Maybe the picture I showed didn't really look that warm but I still wanted the color of the picture. What I got was a brown and not blonde at all. I liked my hair

I would have given this place 0 stars if I had the option. Worst place to get your hair done, in fact they don't even know how to talk to their potential clients over the phone. Beware of the price shown on Groupon and in their store. They charge extra for hair longer than shoulder, $79 extra. Ridiculous!!!!!
Don't recommend this place to anyone. Staaway!!

I found this place through Groupon. Instead of $260 it's $100 for FULL balayage or ombré.
I feel ripped off. They ended up charging another $40 for hair length (brought down from $50 after convincing them my hair was thin). $140 total.
I also have many layers and only a little bit of hair passes shoulder length (see photos).
Based on another review here, I knew they charged additional for length (her hair was full, went passed her mid back, and was charged $60). But I was still dumbfounded at my extra charge.

I have to say Andy did a great job on my hair! I didn't have any specific color, just a Pinterest board full of brownish caramel colors and he was able to give me something I really like. As you can see in the before picture my hair was a straight up nest mess. I did use the groupon and that's why my review is 4 of 5 stars because of all the extra money I put into it. I bought the groupon, paid an extra $60 do to the length of my hair and I also go a trim which was another $60. So overall pricey visit even with the groupon. So just be aware before you go that they charge for length of

I had a horrible experience at this place and PLEEEASE think twice before using this salon. I went to Andy for Japanese hair straightening. He has RUINED & PERMANENTLY damaged my hair. This is what he did.
1) He did not rinse the chemicals from my hair properly in few locations, and also left me with with scorch marks on scalp (which turned to bald spot). see image I will attach.
2) He has over processed relaxer on my hair (left it for 1 hour) which is apparently very long and does irreparable damage to hair.
3) I lost and I am LOOSING LOT OF HAIR after the treatment.
4)Left me with rough

I had been meaning to post this for a while but was preoccupied enjoying my new hair so much! Andy did my hair Balayage in red violet. I did not want to bleach and have very dark hair and he did a very good job to try his best to color my hair to my satisfaction. I had a Groupon and had to pay $60 extra for my hair length but Andy had told me that earlier when I was making me appointment. I will surely be back! Loved it!

Beware! Notice to the population. I feel cheated by this spa. I did a Japanese straightening in this spa, however, I realized after the first wash that my hair became spongy and very curly again. my life I have done the keratin treatment and the Japanese straightening elsewhere and I really know the result and the duration.However, this spa sells us cat hare.The Japanese straightening offered is not, maybe the procedure be, but the product is not, because the result is really null. For months I've been trying to lighten my hair. I went to two salons previous before going to Zen. I was constantly being told that the color I wanted was unachievable and would require multiple treatments. Therefore, I ended up being very unhappy with the results at the other salons...

I'm so happy with the results and so so grateful for caitlyn! i've wanted balayage for the longest time so i had a nice collection of pictures to show her. she was nice and realistic about not being able to go to a light blonde this time around, and when i told her i was nervous about damaging my hair, she gave me lots of advice about deep conditioning every once in a while, and keeping the brassy color away by making sure there were no sulfates in my shampoo.

so I have a frizzy and curly hair and it is very unruly and hard to work with. About a year ago I found out about this place through Groupon and tried it out. They suggested I do Japanese straightening and it made my life so much easier happier and softer. My hair is so soft whoever touches it is like WHATTTTTT!! I love my hair and I love what they have done for me. I just redid my base for the second time and I am so happy about it.

I found Zen Hair Fashion through Groupon but I read the yelp reviews and made me worried. Despite those reviews, I still have them a try. Andy was my hair stylist and he did a great job! He's really quick too! I was in and out about 3hrs. Didn't talk much but you can tell he was focused on working. He was able to get my hair the way I wanted and was very informative about each process. He offered the olaplex treatment but I declined since I didn't want to fork out another $30 (highly recommend when coloring your hair) The only reason I gave a 4 stars is because they charge additional

Our appointment on 12/20/17, but its taken me this long to write a review because my friend and I have so much regret for spending our money here and wished we spent a little more to get the results we wanted.
My friend had black with dark brown highlights and she wanted to go blonde while I had reddish - brown hair and I wanted dark ash brown. We also showed Andy pictures of what we wanted. Andy suggested to my friend to do foliage because it would be healthier and the products

I went to this place for a balayage hair color and a cut and was nervous at first because it’s easy to mess up. But this place is amazing!! They did such a great job on my hair and I don’t know why they don’t have more reviews. I showed the pictures of what I liked and I didn’t need to micromanage anything. They really knew their hair color techniques well. I’m more than satisfied with the outcome and their prices were very reasonable especially considering the quality of services. My hairstylist was very quick, but thorough. The pictures speak for themselves.

The salon was very clean, updated, clutter free and the stylists also spoke English in order to communicate with the Customers.. They worked very quickly.. I purchased a groupon for a ombré/balayage, made an app. for 3:30pm (keep in mind that they close at 7pm). As I arrived at 3:30, he seemed to still have a customer so we didn't officially get started until 4:30pm.
I had dark black hair with some brassy ends from my previous dye and Andy kept suggesting that I could only do some dark colors or brownish colors balayage. What I had in mind was some crazy purplish blonde. I didn't know it was going to take several sessions. Bummer.
I personally felt like we could've gone lighter with my hair if it wasn't for a time restraint
