This review is specifically about Luis. I have never met a more responsive, solution-focused, and professional Director of Facilities. Despite his plethora of responsibilities, he has personally helped me numerous times with issues that arose in my unit. He even proactively offered to provide preventative work. He says what he means and he means what he says, which has garnered my trust in him. Thank you, Luis!

This apt looks brand new, and amenities are great. More importantly, the leasing office people are overall friendly and easy to deal with. Specifically, they are available when you have a question or problem, not like some other awful apts such as the Acadia blocks away wherein the people in charge of the management of the building are hiding in the back of the wall surrounding their offices and pretend that they were in lunch break or not in office.

This is an update review It has been about three weeks since our ceilings were finally closed up. With updates they performed to the air cooling system out of controll condensation and large leaks from that cleard up. I'm not convinced that the issues in my apartment are fully resolved as we still had mild condensation left on the ducts at the time they closed up the ceilings. They put hatches in the hallway and second bedroom. Unfortunatlely this took around three months to resolve. The humid season is gone so no real way to test if its truly fixed until the next hot humid season when

I just recently moved in so I wanted to break down my review in different components:
TLDR: Wait. Fancy Marketing, Flawed Execution. There's potential but don't be the beta tester like I am.
Leasing Team: (POSITIVE)
Generally, I'd say the leasing team is quite responsive and friendly. They've been helpful and patient with all my questions because I asked a lot. Folake was my primary contact and considering how understaffed the team is, I give her 5 starts for her assistance as well as everyone else that worked with me. It doesn't mean they had all the answers I wanted

The property is beautiful but the concierge or the lack of one is concerning as they are on break longer than they are working. What are they doing if they don't have any packages or deliveries to handle as this property outsources package receiving to the Fetch company for $12/month to the resident?! Really, we have to pay another company to receive/deliver packages?! Okay, then there's the $500 reservation (non-refundable fee) that is NOT-applicable to rent or anything else, but they don't have an amenity fee?! Just call it an Amenity fee but $500 is more than double other equivalent

Let me start by saying the property is beautiful and I definitely enjoy my apartment. Nora the leasing agent has been nothing but wonderful and the property is kept very clean, but there are positive things about the property that are now being drowned out by the negative. Please take this review serious if you would like a peace of mind and freedom. First I moved in beginning of December 2020 right before Christmas excited about decorating my new place and celebrating Christmas with loved ones. I am over the moon with the experience I have received at The Sur. From the moment we met with Drew to discuss our personal needs and accommodations through move in they have been nothing short of exceptional. This building is absolutely fantastic. You get to be just moments from DC but enjoy the community feel with everything luxury. Our unit is absolutely stunning. We have a huge spacious balcony and the design of the one bedroom with den layouts are absolutely great. Our den could double as a second bedroom and that was a key selling point for us. Other buildings the den was a very small space

An amazing community!
We leased this from halfway across the country; doing the whole process virtually - Drew and his team were nothing short of phenomenal. Fast and professional responses to what seemed hundreds of our odd questions.
The apartment itself is extremely well built and more spacious than the pictures and videos give it credit for. Definitely a must see to truly appreciate it. The walk in closets, in particular are much larger and better organized than we realized.
The gym is hands down the best apartment gym I have ever seen.

WOW! My leasing consultant, Nora, and The Sur completely exceeded my expectations. Very nice community and excellent service for prospective residents. The apartments are modern, clean, and relaxing. Nora spent considerable time showing me various floor plans and really went out of her way to find a good fit.
While I ultimately chose a different community due to my unique circumstances, I would definitely encourage those in the market to speak to Nora and tour The Sur.

I have been living at The Sur for officially 16 days and am in love. From the first contact I wanted to live there. Folake was the person who has assisted us from the start. She has gone above and beyond. She is a great communicator and has a positive energy. Drew is also so great. They were able to get us moved in early which was amazing. The concierge is so sweet when we come in she says “welcome home” and it gives me all the feels. The views are so nice and it really is so peaceful. It feel like a community and makes me happy to come home.

Absolutely breathtaking building. I rarely ever, ever get so excited about apartments, even the luxurious ones, as they tend to look and feel the same but The Sur is so unique. So modern but warm and it felt like home.
Our tour with Nora was the best! She showed us three units and well, we were sold on the last one. I still can’t stop thinking about it and wishing we were already moving in!!
The staff is so nice, very communicative and genuine. This is a highly recommended place for me and I have already started referring people here ❤️

We checked out this apartment building recently. I currently live nearby and love the neighborhood; there are grocery stores within walking distance and a running/biking trail a block away. The building itself is brand new and beautiful from the inside and out!
The low rating is for a few reasons. First of all, there were people who clearly did not live in the building being loud and drinking in the outside space for residents.
