Working with me, you'll find that I love to answer questions. I go over your home thoroughly, and walk you through every aspect of the inspection. I believe it's critical that you participate in the inspection with me -- after all, this is your hands-on opportunity to learn about maintenance recommendations, positive features, and any potential problems your home may have.
A home cannot fail an inspection. A professional home inspection gives you an independent, unbiased view of any problems or conditions that may exist, so that you will have all the facts you need to make a sound, informed decision. Depending on the size and condition of the home, a thorough home inspection will take usually between two and a half and four hours.
There are many times when an inspection can give you an advantage. If you are buying a home or having a home built, getting a home inspection means you know about any problems and their solutions before you move in. If you are selling a home, getting a home inspection means you know you are complying with full disclosure laws, and means you can consider selecting contractors rather than waiting for the buyer to do so.
Stucco is one of the most popular methods to finish the exterior of homes in the South and Southwest. It's extremely popular in the Atlanta area because of it's durability, weather resistance and it's vital part in the overall decor of Southern homes. The traditional application of stucco and lath occurs in three coats - the scratch coat, the brown coat and the finish coat.
Mold is continuing to be a major home health condition in the South and with our heat and humidity there are no signs of it going away in the near future. When the indoor air quality conditions are perfect (i.e. when the temperature, humidity and other factors are within range) mold and mildew can begin forming in various places around a property.

Eugene is an amazing inspector. he is detail oriented, honest and very knowledgeable. he will walk you through any items that stand out that will impact your house and will point out other items that might not be as urgent but just for your information. Mr. Duffy was an absolute pleasure to work with. We really appreciated his incredibly meticulous manner and the extraordinary amount of time that he spent looking through the townhouse we intended to purchase... especially for a brand-new construction, we were surprised by how many significant issues he helped us identify (including some major structural issues which the builder had to repair). We were disappointed he wasn't able to walk the roof of the unit because of safety, but appreciate that he did his best to visually inspect the exterior roof and did climb through the entire attic to inspect

I recently hired Duffy Home Inspection to inspect my new home before I close on the home. The home is a custom home and was an intricate build with many things to consider. Duffy worked on Memorial Day! Mr. Duffy was early that day. He was incredibly thorough and his report was detailed and was sent to me with an incredible turn around. I would highly recommend Duffy Home Inspection. I am a first time home buyer and Eugene did an amazing job with the inspection. He was happy to answer all the questions I had and it was a great learning experience. He also uncovered some issues with the house that I don't think most inspectors would have caught. Duffy Home Inspection is worth every penny. Eugene Duffy is very knowledgeable and has the experience to catch things other home inspectors would not. I know this because I received the home inspection report from a previous potential buyer that did not buy the house I was looking at. If you want a thorough home inspection, use Duffy Home Inspection Service. We have used Eugene Duffy as our home inspector since 2006. Recently (August and September 2020) we used his services to inspect houses we were purchasing. We decided not go through with the purchase of the first house because of various items Mr. Duffy found. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Duffy. He did a terrific job inspecting the home. He was more than happy to answer any questions I had. His inspection report was extremely thorough and easy to understand. I could not recommend anyone better than him. He is second to none.
