First, the views are beautiful! My family had 3 rooms, all had some sort of stains on the towels, linens and one of the bed spreads was literally patched. The balcony felt unsteady or squishy. The restaurant for breakfast was over priced and the hash browns were burnt. The burrito was very good and the staff was nice. I would not stay here again. I would go to Brookings.

Phone in room did not work was never fixed. TV was not functional had ask multiple times to get it fixed. Refrigerator made a loud buzzing noise the entire night again no attempt was made to fix it. Asked about switching rooms was told that I could not switch rooms. In the morning my husband and I woke up covered in ants. We went to the bathroom only to be greeted by more ants. We went down stairs to notify the front desk about the situation and they informed us they would notify the manager and give us a refund for the night we stayed. We decided to go to the restaurant to eat breakfast. My husband

I don't even want to give this place one star. Don't stay here! Moldy bathtub, horrible service (truly the worst) and a rash that we woke up with. I will be saving the photos for the lawsuit I plan to file.
Nobody wearing a mask and the moldy bathtub would clearly indicate they don't take ANY COVID PRECAUTIONS.
Run as fast as you can away from this horrible place.
A discount on my rate wasn't even something they would consider. I booked through hotels.com and they were not able to help me with any recourse because I paid at the hotel. Another lesson learned.

Gorgeous place to stay, and the rooms are very clean. Food in the restaurant could have been better, but the view is definitely worth it and the servers were polite.
The cleaners were pumpin' out some Too Short from the laundry room which we thought was just... AWESOME!! 👍😎
Would definitely stop here and stay again...

Ideal location. Right on the beach. Hotel wasn't the cleanest I've ever stayed at. The restaurant downstairs was pretty good

Had high expectations for this place, loved the view. BUT -
We didn't get the oceanfront balcony room the first night (we were staying 3 nights).
We didn't get a credit for staying in a regular room the first night - talked with 5 different people at the hotel and each of them said they could do nothing for us and wouldn't give us the manager's name or a straight answer as to when that person would show up. I didn't want a big credit JUST the difference in amount between a regular room and an oceanfront balcony room.
We had bugs (not sure what they were) in our room

I would have given this a negative but it is not an option.
After checking into our room we were looking for a place to plug in our wall charger for our phones. When we looked behind the nightstand we found a pile of used napkins, empty water bottle, and other misc. trash. Our sheets and pillow cases had makeup and other stains on them also. We went down and spoke with the girl at the front desk who informed us that there was not a manager there but she would ask the cleaning crew in the am to clean our room. The next morning we left our room and came back around 2pm at this time there was a bag

Fantastic view of the pacific from the top floor. The rates were reasonable considering the time of year and the location. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hotel that's right on the water.

Way over priced and charged more then quoted over phone. Side entrance didn't work and handicap room was last room on very very long hallway. Side entrance was right next to our room. Was told pool and hot tub available and upon arrival it was closed. Told breakfast was included with biscuits and gravy. That was also untrue you had to pay for breakfast it wasn't included. I believe they book rooms with information that's very misleading and then your stuck with the charge. I ask for a discount and was told they don't work that way. Next time I'll stay down the street and get all the accomodations

Very nice hotel right on the beautiful Crescent City coast. Great ocean views. The room was comfortable and clean towels were left at the door daily.
Very nice staff as well. We ate at the restaurant there and had a very good meal though it was a bit pricy.
Overall, a very good experience.

I'll first start with the pros:
- Easy check-in
- Friendly Staff
- Good Parking
- Proximity to beach (REALLY CLOSE)
- Clean (ish) rooms
- Unlimited waffles or pancakes - breakfast was good but not free
- Pet friendly but I believe the fee was $50 per night per pet. Yikes.
Cons:
- Beds were uncomfortable and you could feel the springs.
- Plumbing was iffy at times.
- Both plugs in bathroom didn't work.
- Hotel restaurant is overpriced. No free refills on sodas and mediocre service.
Would I stay there again? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Yep - but bring a memory foam mattress topper

This is such a beautiful, prime location facing the Pacific. But, it is poorly kept up. The wood floors and tile in the room is of poor quality and installation. The smells are not good. The curtains/rods are cheap quality. The whole experience was subpar and we will never return.
The lobby area is filled with a pool table and the breakfast was an all-you-can-eat pancake and waffle. Yuck.
The grounds around the hotel are weedy and the parking lot needs a resurface job.
Sorry - I am not super picky but this place just disappointed on so many levels.

Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is gouging because of their location.

The jacuzzi tub jets were broken.

The Pool was closed ("due to pandemic") - and yet the room price remains quite steep.

There was a beer bottle cap on the floor.

All the room doors slam shut very loudly.

The restaurant is way overpriced as well.

If I could give it zero stars I would. To call this "Lodge" a hotel is an over statement.
This is a run down, unkept, unfriendly, unorganized place to stay and leave as quick as possible.
It's unfortunate because it has the location but that's it. The staff is unfriendly and unprofessional.
Do NOT stay here. If you do you'll regret it and so will your pocketbook.

First impression wasn't good as nobody ever answers the phone here. Front desk staff rude/dismissive. Would not let us check in early. Charged us a fee for our SERVICE dog after we checked out. Ate in the restaurant where we were continuously pestered by the teenage waitress to hurry up 10 minutes after our entrees came out. She asked us to pay while we were still eating. We told her this was rude & that you don't rush guests by asking them for dessert or to pay when their food just came out 10 minutes ago. She just snapped back & rudely said "cash or credit?"

I stood at front desk desk for 20 minutes waiting to check in. When someone finally checked me in, the clerk said dismissively "you can go now." So rude. I paid for ocean view room, but was so far on the north side of the building I mostly had a view of the parking lot. Rooms were underwhelming too, and the toilet ran all night. Would really think twice before staying here again.

I absolutely loved staying here. It was a little pricey but to be able to look outside at any time and see the ocean, totally worth it. The restaurant was delicious and I enjoyed the drinks as well! On top of being next to the lighthouse and pier, up the road also has tons of pull off areas to sit cliff side and watch the waves. I liked the room. Bathroom was nice also. My only complaint is that the inside of the microwave and fridge were dirty and the coffee from last guest was still in coffee maker. But as a housekeeper myself I wasn’t too bothered, it’s a simple mistake. Besides that, *chefs

We just stumbled upon this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is spotless. The sheets smelled super clean too. Now for the food. It's AMAZING!!! We travel extensively throughout the world and this spot has the best beef stroganoff, Mussels and clam chowder we've ever eaten. Hands down delicious. Plus, they have a sweet lil beach, too! Did I mention the food?...Go! Eat!

We booked a 7 night stay and had to check out after 2 nights due to road work that shut down the main freeway to and from the town most of the day, hindering our ability to travel during our trip, also the elevator was broken and I have a disability that makes it very difficult to climb stairs. The owner was completely inflexible and wouldn't credit us back any of the unused nights.... So we checked out and moved south below the construction zone and just had to pay for two hotels. Suffice to say we will never be back and will recommend people NOT come here. Sometimes it's better to be

The views this place offers is really nice. The rooms are nice as well, but the food at the restaurant really isn't worth the cost. You would be better off getting food from the brewery that us walking distance right yo the street. Food tasted good and has good presentation, but it wasn't anything to rave about.

We were extremely disappointed in this Oceanfront Lodge (oceanfront RESORT) - For $330 we expected it to be somewhat comfortable but i feel like we were thrown into a leftover room that never gets used (room 202)- ocean view but really just a view of the corner of the balcony rooms and parking lot. Upon arriving We saw there was left over food from a previous guest in the refrigerator, the room service sheet that shows the room had been serviced was not filled out (did housekeeping even come??), the ice bucket was disgusting, the TV remote looked like it had been there since last guest set it down

This is the Worst Hotel I have ever stayed at. Stay at the Motel 6 instead.

I had folding chairs on my patio, the kind for inside, they were ripped and the patio is dirty, so you can't sit out there to enjoy the view @ $299 per night. They said I would have a heated pool, but it was closed because of Covid19, so why did they have that listed as an amenity on my email confirmation? On the sliding door they still had the sticker that should have been removed at installation of the door. Non of the employees had uniforms, just ripped jeans - unprofessional. The restaurant claims

Everything else: Horrible.

One bed missing bed skirt.
Binder with information filthy, falling apart and had old writing in it.
We didn't dare shower or take a bath due to mold, dirt and grime.
Bathroom had spots of some sort of bodily fluids on walls and floors.
Tv remote had something gross smeared all over it.
Flooring had a gap in it.
Socks and fruit snack wrappers along with dust behind the bed.
Bird droppings all over the window of the view we paid $200 for.
Waited 15 min at the bar and the server did not even acknowledge my presence

Staff at the front desk (evening check in and morning) were laissez-faire about masks. Two morning staff cooking at the restaurant didn't have any masks whilst cooking and preparing food. The front desk clerk also took off their mask while in the kitchen. Several customers did not wear masks for long periods of time, nor were reminded while I was in the room.

The beds were hard, TVs small, and couch in the room damaged. Clearly the floors are paper thin (see below) because someone walking quietly has to experience an irrational person going off the deep end as a result.

After a long road trip, my family and I decided to rest for safety issues, being there was a huge coastal storm. High winds, fog, and heavy rain made it extremely dangerous to get back to SF. We decided that this location might be great, hoping that come morning the storm will be gone and there would be great views of the ocean from here. This was the worst mistake of all time.

After checking in we usually do our routine extra disinfecting with a UV light. Disinfecting this way can take some time so we left the light in the room and went to nearest fast food joint, being it was the only thing

Great views. Good service. Poorly maintained rooms. The room was not clean and the fro t desk lady was nice enough to come clean the toilet for us. The bathroom smelled dank. $21.00 for a six pack at the front desk of ipa. Little steep. Oh well, $218.00 for the night with a beautiful view right on the beach is not too bad. Only hotel in town that I could find right on the agua. I would come back and stay here again. Got to his SeaQuake brewery 3 blocks done the street.
