Ed Eakins started Ed's Auto Repair in 1979. With wife Liz doing the bookkeeping, Ed built his business into a respected, trusted resource for honest car repair for residents of the Fox Valley area. Nate Pritt joined Ed's Auto Repair in 1995.
Having worked for an auto parts store, an extended auto warranty company, a dealership, and the previous 9 years as mechanic/service manager at a service station, Nate was able to fill the role needed by a growing auto repair business.In December of 2016, Ed decided to hang up his wrenches for a well-deserved retirement.

Both Ed and Nate do great work but what's best is they will perform the work like it is their own car. Their prices are fair and the work is top notch. I do recommend them to family and friends. These guys do great work for reasonable prices. They are also a classic small business that has been around for decades serving the Geneva area.

We just had our first experience here and so far so good. They were responsive and friendly communicated clearly and their prices were Fair. We value honesty, fair prices, and then expertise. They're also conveniently located in the center of Geneva so you can get to them quickly from almost anywhere. Overall great experience.

Took a chance on EDS when another local repair shop couldn’t diagnose the problem, Nate at EDS worked hard and long to find and fix the issue and my car has been running great for the last month now . I would recommend EDS to anyone who wants their automobile repaired by someone who really cares about his customers. Our 2000 LeSabre is running great again.

I have been going to Ed's auto for over 20 years now. It is one of those diamonds in the rough. I have an 18 year old vehicle still on the road because of Ed's service. When you have somebody that does a great job, I guess you want to be selfish and not let the cat out of the bag. I also take all my other cars there, as well, for dependable and reliable service.

Quality work, prompt and thorough. Always willing to answer questions. Treat their customers well. None of the high pressure tactics to sell that one often encounters at chain outfits. We have taken all of our vehicles to EdS for almost 30 years and cannot say enough good things about the service we enjoy. Fair prices, work is only done if the work is needed, and we trust them completely. Both Ed and Nate were great, and even though Ed has retired, this operation will not skip a beat with Nate at the helm. Well-trained over the years and ready to run the business. I can't say enough good things about Ed's. It can be hard to find a mechanic you trust...someone who is knowledgeable and skilled, and who won't screw you over with high prices at recommending work that doesn't need to be done. So, I'm thrilled we found Ed's based on a friend's recommendation. He has done great work on our Toyota and Lexus over the last couple of years. The work has been done professionally, quickly and for a reasonable price. When I call, they are usually able to get me in within a day or two. And they frequently have dissuaded me from doing

Our car is very reliable and has required very little service over the years. However, it is 10 years old and things have begun to fail. Over the last couple of years, we have had three repairs done at Ed's. They have been fixed correctly, the prices are reasonable and Ed and his mechanic have been great to deal with. I have always been skeptical of auto repair shops, especially dealers, when they come back with the inevitable list of other items that need attention.
