I am an undergraduate student and I recently decided to move off campus and I’ve been trying to find the best locations to stay that are not too far from main campus. AR is only 9 minutes from campus! Not only was I impressed with my tour and tour guides, I really loved the explanation of quality of life and the different amenities I was shown. I was able to get a look into the home and rooms and as well as the community spaces. All are so accommodating to me as a student, and furnished as well which lessens the hassle of getting an apartment for the first time. I’ve gone ahead to sign my lease

I love it here. The rent is very affordable, and you’re getting way more that what you’re paying. It’s like a 10 minute drive to campus, and it’s a very popular place, so many people you know will be living here. The clubhouse is so cute and there’s a fireplace, so its a very nice place to be in the winter times. And maintenance usually will come within like a day or 2 of putting in a request. Also dog friendly!

Last year, I toured many different apartment complexes in the area and Athens Ridge was by far my favorite one. I have friends who are paying twice as much in rent for places that are no where near as nice as Athens Ridge. The things that people dislike about the complex the most are some things that are out of their control right now: such bus driver shortage, delayed furniture shippings and etc. Considering how badly COVID has affected the industry, the Athens Ridge staff have been doing an excellent job remaining positive and helping their residents as much as possible. It can be a little loud

The houses are big but that’s about it. A big chunk of my floor is just gone and I am now on month two with a dresser that I can’t put stuff in. I am literally living out of a suitcase in my own house. The lazy river never works and equipment in the gym is still broken weeks later. DO NOT LIVE HERE! If you have a problem with the house then it’s your problem not managements. Absolutely ridiculous.

I'll echo the other sentiments about being charged for things after the fact. My son lived there in 2018-2019. In July of 2021 I received a notice from a collections company that we owned money for "utilities and damages." After multiple calls and emails to the office at Athens Ridge, no one could tell me what damages we supposedly had. If you make the mistake of living here, make 1000% sure that when you move out, you get a letter in writing from them that you are done, there are no further damages, etc. Otherwise you're screwed and there's absolutely no hope of working

This place has low ratings for a reason. I could go on and on about my experience here but for people looking to move in, they gave me the wrong door code, a set of keys that didn’t work to anything, and also moved into a room with no dresser and had to live out on trash bags for two weeks. That’s just a summary of my second year here and it’s only been three weeks. please just get a house or sign somewhere else in all honesty.

Lived here about 5 years ago, second year it was open. I see it is continuing to spiral downhill. Townhouses are spacious, that is about the only plus. The amenities were broken all the time. The worst thing was the safety, you could count on fights in the streets at 3 am every other night. When I moved out, each room mate was charged 1k, even after we paid the maintenance guy to make sure the whole place was sparkling clean. We all disputed the charges and I still have some collection guy that calls me to this day. Actually called me today, that's why I am writing this review. I still have

Now after completely cleaning out the place by move out date, they hit me with $463.00 of additional charges( 1/4 of total chargers) for garbage removal and damaged furniture. All garbage was removed 1 day before the lease expiration and we have pictures of the "damaged" furniture. They even charged again for paint that they charged us for the 1st time.
IF you move here, make sure that you document and photograph EVERYTHING before you move out. Probably best to even email them the pictures so you don't have to fight with them to get charges removed.
BEWARE! BEWARE!!

This place is the WORST. I have lived here for almost 2 months and I am already counting down the days until I can move out. When I first moved in, the apartment had not been cleaned from the people who lived here before. Nothing had been painted, no rooms were clean, and the common areas were DISGUSTING. The common area was so disgusting that there were fruit flies EVERYWHERE in the unit (including my room). After three weeks of living in that disgusting filth (because I had no other choice), management finally sent out people to clean. It took a month for us to get garage door openers to our

:Athens Ridge is horrible!!! These people do not care about these young students! It does not matter how clean you leave your apartment they will charge you hundreds of dollars after you leave. They charged my daughter $637 saying they had to repaint her room. This is beyond ridiculous! These kids do not have money to throw at these thieves! My kid paid her way through school working full time and going to school full time. These people are the worst in Athens! Do not let your kids move in to this place! It's not safe and they scheme to rip off these kids! What they do to these kids should

This is the worst apartment I have ever lived at. The apartments are cheaply furnished. The AC units continue to break. The pool is hardly accessible and it never clean. The parking is terrible. The front gate has been wide open all year after emails saying it will be shut. The front office is very rude and unprofessional. Read the reviews and find somewhere to live.

Athens Ridge has a lovely complex. Unfortunately, their business part of this corporation in not lovely. Our rent was paid 1 week early by a bank issued check and Athens Ridge neglected to cash. Though their error, they them charged late fees. Lol, not happening. No-one responded to our calls or emails. Terrible customer service.

I subletted for the summer. I found that polices and procedures were not followed. The entire local community brings in barbeque, their kids, their grandchildren into the pool. They are respectful and no problem at all that I have seen. But it's for the residents. They keep the door propped open all night. There is only one security guard that really gives a sh.. about doing the right thing. Since it's quieter in the summer, i haven't experienced a lot of issues- but boy I can imagine what this place is like during school. Don't rent close to the rec center- not even

The management team is a bunch of crooks. They try to have fun events and giveaways to hide it, but when it matters, they will nickel and dime you for everything. My unit had 4 girls who were relatively clean and didn't throw too many parties (so our apartment stayed tidy), but somehow, when we moved out, we were charged hundreds of dollars for dust on various appliances. The most absurd thing - we were charged $1000 to paint the whole house. When I tried to email them and inquire about this charge, I was hit with an automated reply that said to go read the resident handbook. Save yourself
