I have been living at The Standard for a year now, and I renewed my lease for the 2021-2022 school year. The location is very convenient, as it is a short walk to downtown and to campus. I enjoy spending my time at the pool, gym, and study rooms; they are always kept clean. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. This past summer, Kay did an amazing job- she took time out of her busy schedule to make sure several items in my apartment that needed to be taken care of were completed at a time when they were super busy with the new move-in residents.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!! I never write reviews, but I literally think I need to do a public service by telling the UGA community what a rip off this place is and the TERRIBLE quality service they provide.

1. Fire Alarm goes off ALL THE TIME. In the past month or 2, the fire alarm has gone off for 3+ hours non-stop, including at least 2 occurrences in the middle

This past year living at the standard has been nothing short of disappointing... when we first toured, the facilities were all extremely clean and all of the amenities appeared to be in tip top shape. However, upon moving in, it was the worst apartment I have lived in relative to the two other apartments I lived in previously (and ironically the most expensive)... I have lived at The Standard for almost a year & it has been a great experience so far. There is so much to do on site, from relaxing at the awesome roof top pool to playing pool & hanging out with your friends in the coffee/study lounge. The full scale gym is really nice, & the golf simulator is great for practicing your swing to help take a few strokes off your game. The staff & management are amazing & super nice. They do their best to take care of residents and resolve any issues as soon as possible. Also, being just a 5 minute walk to downtown is super convenient. I love living here & it has

I would absolutely not recommend signing a lease at The Standard. I am not one to write negative reviews but the management here is unacceptable. First, The Standard increased rent by over $100/month upon renewal with promises of a newly renovated pool. These have been empty promises as the pool has now been closed for over a year. The pool is much of the reason why I chose to live here in the first place so this is very disappointing. Management has not been transparent at all throughout this process and residents have no idea when we will get access to the amenities that we were promised. Next

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here living at The Standard! The property is beautiful, with a 24-hour gym and study spaces, impeccable location to downtown Athens to walk to class or stores in the area, and have always felt safe here!! I cannot wait until the pool is open, as they are currently undergoing some very aesthetic and student oriented renovations and The Standard is always encouraging residents to apply for a part-time job at the front desk! 10/10 would recommend!

I absolutely love living at The Standard. Everything you could ever need is available - tanning beds, a gym, yoga studio, sauna, pool tables & so much more! I especially love the private study rooms. They’re such a great place to do online class and get my work done efficiently. I work downtown and it’s so nice being able to walk there in less than 5 minutes & not have to worry about downtown parking meters. I am so glad i renewed my lease for next year!

I’m super excited to be living at The Standard fall 2021-spring 2022! Not only is the location super close to campus and all the downtown restaurants and nightlife, it also has incredible amenities like a roof top pool that’s getting renovated with a huge Jumbotron. I definitely recommend The Standard if you’re trying to find a nice affordable apartment building in downtown Athens.
