Services
Purchasing gold & silver from Alex & Son is very simple, the market for bullion sets the prices for these coins. It is always the spot price plus a spread. We give you a print out of the market price for your coins, you pay, then you take possession of your metals. Alex & Son offers fair gold prices and silver prices throughout Marin County, CA.
We give free verbal appraisals in our office at 1413 Grant Ave Novato, Ca and we will try our best to be as accurate as possible over the phone if someone needs a lightning-fast appraisal. Obviously we prefer to see the items you are trying to appraise in order to present you the most accurate valuation.
Selling your gold & silver is pretty simple so here is how it works: Pricing of precious metals are base on weight measured in Troy Ozs or 31.1 grams, purity and demand for a particular coin. The spot price of metals is quoted in pure 1 oz denominations. We buy these bullion coins for the spot price minus a spread like all dealers.
Our products (except for the Silver Savings Package, scroll down for further details) can be returned within 7 days of the original purchase of the product. A new product may be exchanged for another product or returned for a refund. You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping, both to and from Alex & Son Coins.

Offered approximately one third of what a more reputable dealer offered for our coin collection. Never followed through on "free" written appraisal and then put friend on phone, who pushed me to sell to them for their lowball offer after I made it clear I was not interested. Highly unethical. Pathetic is the word that comes to mind.

Terrifying experience! Do not step foot in this building or contact this business if you want to deal with anyone with a moral conscience. Deceitful, manipulative, angry. The place is completely disorganized and filthy and the owner purposely tries to mix his crap up with your belongings while disrespectfully rummaging through whatever you've brought in. He then knocks things on the floor intentionally while trying to confuse you as he moves items around his messy desk. After he offered an amount that was a third of the total number he had on his Calculator, I asked if something in the pile
