Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
Our Funeral Home is a proud member of the Cremation-With-Care Provider Network. More families across America trust the knowledge and experience of their exclusive, local Cremation-With-Care funeral home provider than any other cremation resource. We pledge to honor the dignity of those entrusted to our care and offer the greatest measure of respect for your wishes.

My husband died pretty quickly before Christmas, and I was overwhelmed with everything thing I had to following his end of life. Suzanne was referred to me by a friend because she felt Colonial Funeral Home took great care of their family when her mother-in-law passed away. The minute I called the Funeral Home and spoke to Suzanne, I knew they were going to help me through this. Our family was devastated by our loss, and Suzanne's patients and kind heart in walking me through the steps in what I needed to do gave me peace because I knew I was in good hands.

When my mother unexpectedly passed & I was left to make arrangements on my own, Colonial Funeral Home Was a godsend. They were so kind & patient, walked me through the whole process & helped me make decisions. Suzanne spent so much time talking with me while I processed the death & was accommodating when I wanted to do a last minute viewing! Her kindness will never be forgotten.

We called and received immediate attention by Darrell Walley. He was great, patient, understanding and made very helpful suggestions. I appreciated the way he moved us along to complete the difficult tasks that needed to be done. Even after arrangements were made Darrell and his Team made sure everything went well and professionally. Then, other member's of the Team stepped up to be there fore me and for our family and friends. Troy was one of those people who made sure all was well for all of us.

Suzanne at Colonial Funeral Home is wonderful! I was in Europe when my mother passed away and she was a huge help to my husband. I took care of all the paperwork before I left so the process for my mother would be seamless. It totally was! Suzanne handled the publication of my mother's obituaries very well and her tribute was posted exactly as written. Suzanne was so kind and considerate when I picked up my mother's ashes and took the time to talk to me about my mom's amazing life. Thanks so much for your kindness, compassion and professionalism.
