The apartments at Mill Hollow at Bavarian Way in Altamont, NY are very desirable and spacious and designed with a modern and open style concept. The large club house provides an area for the gathering of family and friends. The pond is a nice setting. The swimming pool has been disappointing this past summer due to poor maintenance and had to be closed for several days. Mill Hollow has a limited working staff. A difficult situation when the office manager is not onsite and lacks professional skills to communicate. The maintenance of 84 apartments is the responsibility of one maintenance guy. Consequently

Would not recommend. Very dissapointed that this place has a pool but the maintanence guy, Michael, uses it as his private pool where he sits and drinks beer all day, IN THE POOL. If you do not like to swim then disregard this, but if you thought you would be able to use the pool then just know that it will not likely happen. He is there, literally everyday, with a cooler of beer and just blocks everyone else from using it. Even with the covid-19 pandemic he does not care about giving people some space to swim. Very selfish, again I would not recommend this place if you plan on using the pool at

The apartments are spacious and designed for a great living experience. The well appointed Clubhouse affords additional entertainment opportunities to host larger gatherings of friends and family. Property Manager Sara Jones is personable snd effective: she promptly responds to all inquiries and presents a warm welcome to all who live here.

This place may look nice, but dealing with management is a nightmare. We had to keep sending pieces of our application because management kept losing them. We were promised a certain type of room, and they even signed a lease agreement and took a security deposit from us even though that room type wasn't going to be available. They failed to tell us this until months later when they showed us the actual place we were going to move into (which was unsuitable for us), forcing us to scramble to find another apartment. I wouldn't recommend looking here. You may not end up with what you are promised

Horrible place for the price.
The apartments are marketed as having scenic views- do not believe them! The grounds have not been well kept in the last two years. The hill above the garbage-filled pond is slowly eroding away, revealing buried garbage from the previous building which existed here.
If you don't break your ankle in one of the many dips and holes of the grounds, don't worry- an off leash dog will try to tear it off. This complex accepts large rottweilers but does not enforce leash rules at all. Frequently throughout the day you can witness off-leash aggressive dogs here. Stay away

Mill Hollow is the best apartment complex we have ever rented in. The units are spacious and clean, neighbors are quiet and respectful, and the grounds are gorgeous! The extra amenities are great as well, from the gym, on site storage units, clubhouse with movie theatre, etc. That alone was enough to make us like it, but Lynn, the apartment manager, really put our experience over the top. She is super friendly, but also knows how to mean business when it's needed... key to keeping the complex the way it is now. Mill Hollow felt like home as soon as we saw it :)
