My name is Shira Mosbacher and I consider Songbird Physical Therapy a place where people suffering from any kind of orthopedic and neurological dysfunction can benefit. In a fine-tuning and healing center, patients are assessed as whole human beings instead of a knee patient, hip patient, or stroke patient.
I use a holistic/integrative approach and value the mind-body connection when working with clients. My goal is to free you from any physical pain, encourage you to feel empowered about your health, or at the very least, understand how to manage your symptoms.

Services
During any visit, you'll receive between 50 minutes to an hour of one-on-one time with me. Treatment includes multiple forms of manual therapy and bodywork. Therapeutic exercises range from some of the top physical therapy exercises on and off the mat to using pilates in order to meet your rehabilitation needs.
Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle hands-on form of bodywork that assists the body in releasing compression of the bones of the cranium, sacrum, and spine, allowing cerebral spinal fluid to flow more easily. Cerebral spinal fluid is the liquid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. When the flow of this fluid gets blocked and is unable to pump in its natural state, the body is likely to be in a compromised state of health.
Pilates is a physical fitness system that is the basis of what I use at Songbird Physical Therapy to work on flexibility, muscular endurance, and core strengthening. When dealing with an injury or post-surgical rehabilitation, physical therapists are trained to look at the body with a different eye to prevent injury and promote flexibility where it's needed.
