We have developed a patient-service guide, called "Getting to Yes at The Eye Care Institute" and a series of employee education articles so that all staff, regardless of role, have, at minimum, a working knowledge of the eye questions and concerns our patients express most often. This focus on staff education allows us to give our patients an outstanding patient experience, not just a medical office visit.

I had Lasik done earlier this year and the outcome was more than I could have asked for. Dr. Patar performed my Lasik and he was so professional but also very easy to speak with. The rest of the staff that I have encountered at Eye Care Institute are knowledgeable in their field and friendly. You get top of the line care without feeling intimidated by the medical setting.

I want to thank the staff at the Eyecare institute. The entire experience was great! The staff did a great job. The greeters were friendly and warm. The administrator, Valerie was helpful and made sure my insurance was up to date and informed me of what my coverage allowed. She went above and beyond!!!
I was thankful for the help from Robert, Jessica and Georgia who helped me pick out my new glasses. They were amazing! Robert made sure I adjusted to my transition (fancy word for bifocals lol) lenses and that I was comfortable in my new frames. The whole team impressed me. I will be back!

We love the vision care we receive at ECI. Doctors Woodruff & Greene are the best! My husband & I are happy to put our eye care in their hands.

I had no ideal that my past eye doctor closed his practice without notifying me. I needed annual diabetic eye exam and my wife previously was under the care of the Eye Institute and they served her well.
So I gave them a call and everything was completed in a timely manner and with satisfactory above and beyond my expectation.
Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and professional.

I have been going to the Eye Care Institute for several years. It is a state-of-the-art facility with great people. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. The testing has been top-notch. My wife and I both had cataract surgery using Dr. Pattar. We are very happy with the results, and he is very personable. The appointment process is simple and the electronic check-in is nice. If you are using an optometrist now, you should switch to an ophthalmologist. They go beyond what an optometrist can do, and the Eye Institute will have you see one each visit.

This place used to have good service. I don't know if they are under new ownership or what but it's definitely not the same. I had PRK back in 2015. I used to routinely see one of the doctors who did the surgery on me, Dr Meyer. I made appointment to see Dr Meyer and waited almost 4 months to see him. Today when I go into my appointment, they tell me I'm meeting a different doctor. One I've never heard of. I explain to the gentlemen/lady that I specifically made an appointment to see Dr Meyer and waited 4 months to see him. He goes back and tells me if I want to see Dr Meyer

I scheduled an annual exam with the intent to increase my glasses prescription. I went to the appointment and was there for an hour - I was about to see the doctor when they asked to dilate my eyes - I told them I didn't have time since I had to go back to work.
They REFUSED to give me my prescription, after completely the full eye exam, unless my eyes were dilated so I had to seek care somewhere else. Likely because the doctor wanted the fee associated with doing a dilation. Everyone uses the dialation machine nowadays - which is much more convenient for the patient. Clearly this company

I had an eye exam a few months ago and I was very pleased with my experience. I saw Dr. Parker and she was very helpful and honest about my eye health. I've gone to a few other eye doctors and this was by far the best experience I've had. The office was clean and pleasant and the staff was helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

This office is full of skilled and competent Doctors; and friendly and knowledgeable Staff. No matter what your problem is they have someone for you. Glaucoma? Cataracts? Diabetes? Corneal Issues? If you don't have any problems and you just need contacts or glasses they have options for you. Want to get out of contacts or glasses? Drs. Meyer and Pattar are two of the best options for LASIK in the region.

Adrienne checked me in, Alex took me back to Jose who did he workup before I saw Dr. Pattar and everyone was SUPER! Dr. Pattar was great and explained everything in terms that a lay person could easily understand. I forget who checked me out and she was the real deal as well. Great staff, great experience. I've seen Dr. Pattar twice and really enjoy his intelligence, professionalism, and calm, friendly, and approachable demeanor. The first posted review wasn't positive due to an exceedingly long wait. However, the CEO reached out personally and explained. Using this situation as a teachable moment for the staff is admirable. I'll keep trusting my valuable eyesight to Dr. Pattar.

I had LASIK about a month ago and the doctors and assistants at Eye Care Institute were thoughtful, knowledgeable, experienced and worked hard to make me comfortable. I was referred to the ECI by a friend when we first moved to Louisville. This is a bustling place. They have a huge parking lot which is a big plus. There are several people available to check you in and they are all very friendly - in my experience - and smiling! Wait time has been minimal for me. Staff has been very professional and not rushed. They tend to make light conversation which is nice. I see Dr. Hayley Woodward and I think she is fabulous. Very friendly and super knowledgeable. I've been going to the Eye Care Institute for about two years, and got LASIK a year ago. I see Dr. Parker - she is wonderful, so sweet and always remembers details about your life that you chatted about previously! Not only is her care great, but the whole staff is amazing from the front desk to the technicians to the other Drs. I don't know how they do it, but the technicians are the best. They are so personable while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. They even take time to explain exactly what they are doing and will even show you picture books on the eye of you want.

Took my son (7yrs old) to have a retina examination on the recommendation of our pediatrician. My son was pretty scared. Dr. Pattar saw him and my son was instantly at ease. I was so happy I chose this eye center! Turns out everything was fine, thank goodness. I highly recommend Dr. Pattar and this practice!

Awesome job!!! I had LASIK performed by the doc and his great staff and I couldn't be more pleased. Dr. Pattar was a true professional and he has the most amazing staff backing him up. I felt comfortable and cared for from the moment I walked through the door and I am super happy to have gotten the surgery. I DON'T NEED GLASSES ANYMORE!!!
