Our eye doctor, Dr. Michael Martorana, is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive eye exams Louisville has to offer. Our eye exams use the latest technology and equipment to insure that your prescription is the most accurate that it can be.
Frames aren't your thing? We've got you covered with comprehensive contact lens examinations. We take measurements of your cornea to evaluate the steepness and diameter in order to select the perfect contact to fit your eye shape. We then evaluate the fit and vision with our biomicroscope to ensure that the lens is fitting and moving appropriately.
The frames that you will find in our selection have been carefully selected. At Falls City Eye Care, we believe the story behind each frame matters. I had a horrible experience, new patient. I Arrived early to my appointment. I was told i would be seen within 10-15 minutes. It was over an hour before they took me back for pre exam, then left me in the exam room waiting for the Optometrists. I waited there another 30 mins before i went out to talk to someone. I had another appointment to get to across town. They overbooked and were running late. i wish they let me know when i first arrived.

Came here for the first time yesterday and will be back next year for my annual eye exam. The doctor was very helpful and all the staff was friendly and seemed to actually care, it didn't feel like I was just being pushed through the exam like at other optometry offices. You guys were awesome thanks so much!!

Wow, they continue to do it right. Everyone is masked at all times. They are careful to spread appointments out and socially distance and keep track of all glasses that are handled in order to keep everything clean. The staff is the absolute best. Very helpful and friendly. And Dr. M is so good about explaining everything. The selection is vast. Love this place

Previously I would go to Lens Crafters for eye care. When my insurance switched they recommended Falls City Eye Care. I went in this week and was very impressed. The entire staff was great. The doctor was nice and took time to explain things. Everyone seemed knowledgeable and very friendly. The selection of eyewear was fairly extensive and the pricing was WAY better than other places. Can't wait for my new glasses.

0/10 do not recommend. They could not figure out my insurance and I've had to pay everything out of pocket and then wait for an insurance refund. THEN i buy frames and lenses and find that my lenses have tiny cracks in them that makes glares even tho i paid for anti glare lenses how ironic. I took them to them multiple times in a day and they just thought i didn't know how to clean my glasses. They were kind up until something was wrong and it was their fault. So they finally see what I'm talking about and they agree to order me new lenses and they would be in in 2 weeks. After two

This was my first time coming here and I really enjoyed the experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and answered any questions I had. They also have a really cute selection of glasses as well. For anyone who is scared/nervous about the eye puff part of the exam, like myself, they don’t do that here!! Which was honestly a big relief and made the experience much easier. Can’t wait to get my new glasses, and come back in the future if I ever need.

Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever been to. This place had so much patience with my mom and I. They took time to explain everything and was able to answer all of our questions. The place itself is really nice, I loved the rocking chairs! Everyone is so nice here, and I absolutely loved it! If you’re worried about where to go, you should just go here. Honestly, the best!

Great place! I always try to support local businesses, and I will continue to go here. I have been a patient for a little over 2 years, the staff is pleasant, informative, and very helpful. Dr. Martorana is wonderful! The communication is great, and do a great job explaining your options when it comes to insurance. I needed to replace a pair of prescription sunglasses, and was even able to do that over the phone, and pick them up in a decent amount of time with no issues. I will continue to return here for all future exams, and spread the word.

Fantastic service, very modern technology (no more air puff to the eye), great COVID precautions and the only lobby/waiting area I’ve never been bored in 😊 they also do a great job of making sure new glasses sit right and have the correct adjustments for your face. I can't say enough kind words about Fall's City Eye Care! I called on a Friday morning to see if they could work me in same day as a new patient. They got me in that afternoon and the whole process was wonderful! The receptionist greeted me as soon as I walked in and was so polite. Once signed in he took me to a room to do some preliminary tests before the doctor came in and he was so friendly and put me at ease. Then Dr. Martorana came in to do the exam. He was also very friendly and explained everything to me. I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my appointment. The staff here

Amazing eye doctor and a wonderful experience! I had two staff members help me locate my insurance member ID in the online database and help me pick out a pair of stylish frames. The doctor was patient and took the time to explain all of my contact options even though it was technically after closing hours. Hands down the best eye care I've ever received. If anyone needs to get their eyeballs checked, I highly recommend Falls City Eye Care. The home environment is comforting as opposed to a clinical, sterile office that we all have experience with. They talk you through every single step and, holy moly, they have so many diagnostic machines. I never thought that I would be able to say that I had a good experience at the eye doctor, but here I am saying it. It was great.

Boutique eye care experience that is so good I am back 2 years in a row! The optometrist's wife is an interior designer and this space has been updated so nicely. As much as a beautiful space is nice, it would not be anything without kind people.

Good experience the first time around with the eye exam and making an appointment. Dr. Martorana is nice and very knowledgeable. Great new facilities and a lovely local business. It would be 5 stars were it not for my walk-in follow up. A week or so after my exam, I go in to order prescription sunglasses and despite being open at 10:00 am, the only person there working is unable to do anything. I understand that they can't measure my pupils because they are new. Got it. But the complete lack of customer service assistance was surprising. Can't pull up my paperwork or prescription, or

Very posh new eyewear store on Bardstown Rd in the Highlands. Some cool hip young women work there and they told me the frames I picked were very on trend at the moment. The young optometrist doctor took his time to explain everything to me. I never felt rushed like I have felt at other places. I would highly recommend this place as the overall experience was wonderful. Best part was I had my new glasses ready in about one week! Impressive!

I can't say enough positive things about this practice and this optometrist. Hard to believe I'm raving this much about an eye care place, but they are really special.
Hometown feel, so personable.
Really great with standard issue such as contacts and glasses. Good selection and great staff to work with.
Also does an excellent job with emergencies. He worked my wife in on very short notice for a corneal abrasion , and they did an excellent job taking care of her.
