We know you have many choices in eye care in Plano, but our Plano optometry office stands above the rest for a wide variety of reasons. We have been serving the Plano area since 1985 and take pride in serving our customers, many whom are the second generation. The center's owner, Dr. Gulrez Khoja, is certified in fitting Kerasoft IC, Paragon CRT and the SynergEyes group of contact lenses.
Dr. Khoja attended University of Toronto, in Ontario, Canada, and then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with honors, from the University of Houston. She graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry, Cum Laude, from the College of Optometry at the University of Houston.
After her academic training at the University Eye Institute, Dr. Khoja provided care at clinics that specialized in contact lenses, low vision, retinal diseases, and pediatrics.At Bridge Builders Eye Clinic in Dallas, a non-profit clinic that served the indigent population, Dr. Khoja provided patients with free eye health exams and glasses.

I really enjoyed the process this time around not only for me but for my son. They explained the process of each test as I went through the exam. Afterwards, the gentleman really helped me pick out a pair of glasses. He also recommended a pair of glasses for my son who plays sports but can not see without his glasses. We got him a pair of Gizmo's. A rubber pair that he can wear while playing sports and daily without looking like goggles. Thanks for making it enjoyable and the process easier! Thank you

Dr. Khoja is an amazing eye doctor. She goes into detail in explaining every bit in the simplest form so not only me but also my 12 year old understands. I’ve been coming here since my son was 6years old and it’s been a wonderful experience. My family and EYE are very happy with her and the staff. I came in for a basic eye exam last summer. They told me they didn't accept my insurance, so I paid $35 out of pocket. No problem. My insurance subsequently told me that they are in-network and that they paid the provider. When I called to ask the office to ask when they'd reimburse me for my out of pocket payment, I was aggressively told that they do not handle any of this in office and that the Center's accountant would cut a check in a few months. I haven't received anything or even heard anything back from them. Very unexpected and poor service here.

The Plano Eye Care Center is far above a 10 star rating. Doctor Kujah and all of the staff are extremely caring, professional, and provide excellent service. I am 73 years of age, and The Plano Eye Care Center is the absolute the best care I have ever experienced. I strongly recommend for anyone needing eye care.!!!

This is a follow up review. I received my new glasses (purchased at The Plano Eye Care Center) recently. They are of excellent quality, look and feel great. I needed a few adjustments, and the staff was very quick to accommodate me, extremely nice and proficient. The new glasses came with a very nice case, and accessories for cleaning them. Highly pleased with these folks ! Highly recommended !!

The staff at PECC are fabulous to work with. They took care of my VSP insurance as well as fitted me with a new pair of Maui Jim RX sunglasses. Staff was very courteous and helpful. My only complaint was mandatory mask even for the inoculated customers. I will be more than happy to do business with them again.

I came in for an eye exam with Dr.Smith and got new prescription eye glasses made at a different place, but the prescription was not comfortable and had a magnification component that I wasn't comfortable with. I went back to see her but they wouldn't let me do a follow up to fix the prescription that SHE recommended. They kept saying this is the best prescription you measured for, while I only saw her once. They robbed me off having my follow up to fix it and said you can go some were else. I am a first-time patient for eye glasses and I was very impressed with the service I received from the doctor at this practice. I felt that the examination was thorough and the doctor was extremely informative. She took the time to explain her concerns, and explained what was occurring with my eyes from both a medical and physiological standpoint. I really appreciated this kind of in-depth explanation. It was a very good experience at Plano Eye Care Center. My mother-in-law had cataract surgery half a year ago in China. Her left eye was hit by kid and was hurt and swollen next day. I took her to see Dr. Khoja per friend's recommendation. Dr. Khoja was very friendly and professional. She explained everything clearly to us. The staff were friendly as well. The waiting time was not as long as I expected. The price was fair.

This was one of the best experiences that I have had with regards to an eye exam. I did not have to wait long to be seen, the staff was very helpful and the eye doctor was extremely personable, helpful and easy to talk too about my eyes. And the cost of the exam was extremely reasonable considering we don't have vision insurance.

I had a great visit. This is the most informative office I've ever been to since I started wearing glasses. Dr. Khoja is all about your visual health, explaining in depth as well as monitoring it going forward to see what works and what doesn't. The staff was great as well. After a bad experience with another supposedly 5 stars review optometrist. They let me hanging and waited for a long time. I left and took my business along with my family of four to Dr. Patel. He is very down to earth and his staffs are very polite and helpful. They got me in on time and Dr. Patel was very professional and he use the latest technology. I would recommend this place without a doubt. Keep up the good work.

Have been a patient here for many years. The office staff has always been great with our family in setting appointments, ordering glasses, resolving any issues that come up. The doctors are extremely thorough in their exam. All procedures and tests are explained and all questions are answered in terms one can understand. I have never felt rushed and the doctors are pleasant and put you at ease. They give recommendations on keeping your eyes healthy. Very pleased.

My kids have been patients at Plano Eye Care Center for many years. My son first started with Ortho-K contact lenses (wear 'em at night only, awesome invention). They've worked out great. Back then, there weren't many places that offered these types of contacts, and when we came here we were very impressed. The doctor was not pushy, and didn't promise any amazing results, just explained how they worked, that a lot of people are happy with them but may not work for everyone, etc (for the record, I don't like pushy sales people). We thought it was worth a try so we went ahead

I have been coming to The Plano Eye Care center for years. I keep coming back because the staff and the Dr. are very knowledgeable and professional. There are many eye care centers in the area, but why would I want to change when I get the best care here.
I come about once a year for my eye check up and the staff and Dr. are very professional and friendly. The Dr. is up on the latest and greatest ever changing eye care. The Dr. always remember me, even though I come once a year.

I moved to the area about a year ago and was down to my last pair of contacts, so after doing a little searching around through my insurance, I found Plano Eye Care Center. I'm so pleased with this business. The women at the front desk were friendly and I only waited a minute or so before I was called back for my appointment.
*Side note: I have been historically TERRIBLE at the glaucoma test, where they send a little poof of air right at your eyeball and you can't blink. I can handle a lot, but when that test comes along, I just can't help but blink and flinch. I even apologize
