My wife found this inn online and instantly fell in love, our kind of place. Glad we booked the room, it is as charming in person. We were in town just for the evening and easily walked to our destination as the historic district of Ocala is literally right there. The room was beautifully decorated, with little details that the big hotels miss. If our bed at home wasn't as equally nice, I think I would have had to drag my wife out of the bed. Hotel front desk was very helpful and accommodating, and the rooms are all decorated in an eclectic type of way. This hotel is old, on a busy street with some random people walking through the property. We had a tough time sleeping with the wall unit a/c cycling on and off, and the blinds didn’t eliminate parking lot lights adequately. Black out shades needed! My friend and I had a great time here. Very unique look and vibe. Not like a regular motel! Each room is distinctly decorated, and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere of the covered sitting areas with the hundreds of plants! Great location in being central to a lot of things. On a main road, but no road noise within the room. Well insulated from noise.

Ocala is beautiful city and I found this historical motel in the heart of Ocala.We were treated here like a family with love and respect.
This motel is nothing like others.Very unique,antique and historical place.I felt like I was sleeping in the museum.The interior here is very cozy and beautiful in baroque style.Diana did wonderful job in this place with love!!! If you are looking for the place for photoshoot you got it!Every room is different.Lots of small and cute details in rooms.

Cozy and intimate. Not what you would expect! Feather pillows and comfy bed and linens. Absolutely delightful. Has everything just about, even down to a bathroom scale! Fireplace feature with no heat contributes to a romantic summer evening. Roadway noisy but was holiday weekend. Within walking distance to historic downtown. Very caring hosts! We will be back!!!!

My husband and I stayed here two nights over the holiday weekend. Online it looked quaint and it was close to the springs where we wanted to kayak. Did not disappoint! This place is the perfect little get away, walk inside your room and the rest of the world disappears and the hospitality was second to none. We will definitely be back!!

This hidden gem is adorable. Every room has a different theme. We stayed in the "Paris" room. Beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. Every room has its own covered cabana outside with patio table & chairs. It even has chandelier that light up at night. You can just tell that Diane put a lot of time, effort, personal style & TLC into this place. I highly recommend it.

I made an initial bad review on Google, and the owner started harassing my personal phone late at night, and wouldn't stop, even after I asked her to. She also stalked my social media page and harassed my family members on Facebook following the review. The motel is in a Bad location, with a view of a tire shop. Has a smoke/mildew smell-so much so that my daughter had a bad asthma reaction. The Owner was rude after I expressed my concerns when we were still there.I made the initial reservation over the phone, while we were still hours away, so I didn't know what we were getting into

While traveling I search to find unique, eccentric places to stay at. The Shamrock Historic Inn fits that bill. Very intersting decorating, each room has a different theme. . Friendly Inn Keepers Each room has a cabana out front to enjoy the weather. Its close to great places to eat. My only negative is the rooms are a bit smaller than they appear in the pictures.

Excellent hotel this is going to be my go to hotel every time I stay in Ocala!! It's just a block away from historic downtown Ocala which is full of great restaurants! The motel is very clean and as you can see from the pictures has a very relaxing feel. The employees are very friendly and in the morning they put out coffee and a ton of goodies to get you started for your day!!! Love this place!!!

We Really enjoyed our stay at this place. It was a great, Indy motel, that you could tell someone really took pride in fixing up. It's an older, smaller place, but we actually stayed in 2 different rooms. On the way there, we stayed in room 10 (The golf room). Clean, comfortable. They gave me a free bottle of wine and chocolate. Really beautiful outside plants. It's like a jungle that distracts you from the busy loud street. They did a great job in creating an enjoyable nature environment. We sat outside, drank our wine, looked at the plants. It was very nice. Great for pet lovers

Upon arrival we were shown the room by a housekeeper on duty. Very nice woman who desired to be helpful.
When the room door was opened we wished we did not pay in advance. We would have left.
It was not furnished in an "eclectic" style mentioned by other reviews.
It was furnished in a style that would have been rejected by a consignment shop. Numerous throw pillows that were not cleaned.
The room was very small. The linens appeared clean. That was certainly good.
The wine provided was not the quality of two buck chuck. Clearly undrinkable.

Do not stay here. The owner will charge you an additional $16 per night for every little thing. The prices on the website are much lower than they are in person and when you arrive you are expected to pay all these additional fees. The "inn" aka motel is cute but NOT worth almost $200 per night. I booked four rooms for my family members and the owner waited until I left to charge my family an additional $100 and claim it was a discount. Ridiculous. And my AC unit leaked the whole time we were there (we informed the guest keeper) and our unit was put on 80 when we left it on 70. Save your

The owner, her husband and the housekeeper are all very nice and are trying hard to make a good living in a competitive business. They have taken an old motel and converted it to a unique place to stay. However, the outdoors is cluttered with unkept and dying plants (taking into consideration it is winter!). Pots are shattered from the roots overgrown, tabletops and chairs are dirty, a very cluttered, overly decorated patio.

I chose this Inn based on its location and Yelp reviews. We wanted a place to stay for a kayak trip we were taking in Ocala. When I made the initial reservation I discovered that it is pay up front and non-refundable. An hour after making the reservation I found out that I couldn't make the trip. I called the owner and explained the situation and she said that while she couldn't give me a refund she would honor the reservation at a later time. Two weeks later I called her on a Thursday and asked for Friday and Saturday nights. She agreed since it was a slow season and I was very pleased

I was pleasantly surprised by the sanctuary they have created here. You would not know this gem exists by the busy road just outside. However, when you step into your room you are taken aback by the attention to detail. They are a pet friendly hotel yet my room was immaculate and did not smell like pets. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and their hospitality. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend this hotel to anyone passing through.

We were able to get reservations the week of St. Patrick's day. Their busiest week of the year. Upon checking in I mentioned that I was a history buff. I was up graded me to the room George Washington slept in at no additional cost.
The owner also moonlights as a private detective. He was able to find my Ex and collect thousands in past due alimony for me. All before the 11am check out.

Shamrock Inn is a charming, quirky little motor lodge right in Ocala, lovingly curated by a normal family, cat and Yorkie. The Yorkie will try to get your attention by bringing out her toys, twirling and begging.
We had a very lovely stay here and enjoyed our own little patio with some beautiful plants, comfy chairs and a nice bottle of wine, compliments of the management. I highly recommend the Shamrock Inn.

This was a total surprise stay. We still had a three hour drive ahead of us, but were beat. A quick Yelp search turned up the Shamrock Historic Inn showing a 5 star rating. That was good enough for us, and thank goodness because my wife would NEVER consider a roadside motel, which is what the Shamrock is. After talking with the owner on the phone, who is wonderful by the way, we booked a room and made the remaining 20 min drive. Cute boutique motel!! This is not your ordinary motel it's adorable and very quaint!!! I would definitely say it's a boutique style motel!! Cute decor and ambiance is great!! I recently stayed here and the place is wonderful! Its very homey and cozy felt like being at home. It was very clean, comfy beds and enjoyed my stay!
The owners are very helpful and make you feel right at home, they even gave me snacks to have at night!
