Lisa Middlebrook was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, but grew up all over the world. After her father served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, he decided to make Rochester, New York, his family's home. Lisa attended cosmetology school at Shear Ego Academy and was trained by the Webb family from House of Webb in London.

I got a haircut here and it was not what I asked for. It was cut much shorter than what I asked for and throughout the process of my haircut I was not asked if I liked how it was being done. I could not even see the back of my head until the cut was done. Now that my hair is growing out, it looks bad and more uneven than before. I expected a better haircut for a high rated a salon. The salon was dusty and was not clean. I did not see the licenses of the people that work there. I waited about a month for my appointment as well and it was definitely not worth it. I have no idea how this place has

Super bummed. I have been growing out my grey hair since March. The bottom half is still dyed brown. I called and asked if I could have white/grey/or silver highlights to blend it in. I was told absolutely and I was so excited. I got in Jamie's seat this morning and she said nope, she could do blond highlights but not what I wanted. I waited a month for this appointment and am so disappointed. I just left with no color and no cut. I wish I had been told no over the phone.

I’m new to the area and took a chance on a new place. Well, a place with great reviews and it didn’t disappoint! My appointment was with Racheal, she eased any concern I had from the beginning. She took time to listen and ask the right questions on how I’d like my color and boy did she deliver! I’m totally in love with my highlights! Was a great experience! Thank you Racheal!! And House of Color!! 5 stars all around!!

I recently started going to House of Color Salon. After 3 visits I can honestly say I love my experience. The whole Salon is beautiful & clean & just makes me happy to be there. My stylist quickly understood what I needed and has only gotten better w/each visit. She is a lovely person who takes her job seriously & always leaves me feeling beautiful. I get lots of compliments from friends about my cut & color :-)

I was mid anxiety attack when i got to the salon… Brody was so sweet and amazing, she listened and did exactly what I described . I’m so happy with the service, the conversation and everything. I felt 1000 times better when I was finished.

I just read the review of the woman before who brought her daughter to House of Color and I couldn’t believe she would ever write anything disparaging about this salon! I have been going there for 12 -13 years every 4 weeks! And I am Asian and have some disability issues! Every single person in the salon has treated me like I am one of their family! They have always gone out of their way to make me feel like I am not different! I have never seen them treat anyone with anything but kindness and respect! They are the best salon in South Carolina and when you are the best you have to be pay for

Miki highlighted and cut my hair and her only goal was to have me leave with hair color and a haircut that I absolutely loved! Mission accomplished!
She spent time talking with me about what I liked and didn’t like about my hair and carefully figured out a plan to achieve the look that I was hoping for.
I trusted her expertise, felt incredibly comfortable with her, enjoyed talking with her and loved the partnership and fellowship among coworkers - it is definitely a positive and happy place.
My daughter is going to Miki tomorrow and I will definitely go back when it is time to become a “natural”
