Abrams & Associates Insurance was started in 1998 by lifelong Hudson Valley resident John Abrams, an insurance industry professional since 1984. The agency has grown over the years into the successful company you see today. I requested a quote and worked with an agent providing all documents and information asked of me, she was out of the office unexpectedly and another agent said they would complete my quote and process that day. I call 3 business days later to find out they are not writing new policies at this time, with no prior explanation, no courtesy call or follow up emails of any kind. When I attempted to ask the reason for this I was abruptly told “we are not writing new policies” and hung up on. I am so glad I didn’t go with this company, I prefer respectful courteous treatment and professional experiences

Nothing good to say about this company. They are rude and unhelpful, one person in particular who won't be named. Apparently they have a reputation for being rude as I found out from other people in the area. Never return calls and reply with snotty emails.
I cancelled my policy with them and went with State Farm. They dragged out the cancellation process so I couldn't get my refund. This was not a surprise to me and I totally expected something like that from them. They've lost my business due to them purely being unhelpful and rude. It's like night and day how I'm being treated with my new insurance
