I used to drive to Long Island when i first moved up here before i discovered VG hair ..but my experience with the personal products..and stylist in the salon made me stop my drive to the island. Vilma is amazing.hair knowledge about the science of hair and style is making my hair look like i am 22.. highly recommend this place

Wow! I had the best experience with Kelfy & Isabella. They were absolutely amazing. Called at 11am on Thursday and they took me in for a full highlight at noon the same day. They were polite & professional. Kelfy took over and told me exactly what I needed to do in order to get to the blonde I am looking for while keeping it healthy. She noticed I was over highlighting my hair and fixed many of the spots that were damaged due to washing my hair with too many oils. I have not been able to use conditioner in 10 years. Kelfy set me up with a ultra hydration treatment and I can finally use conditioner

Since I started going to VG, my hair has gotten stronger and healthier. The girls are knowledgeable of the chemistry of the hair and emphasize the importance of maintaining the health of the hair through all color and texture processes. I love all the girls at VG Hair Design! I go regularly to get my roots touched up and hair cuts with Kelfy and am always incredibly happy with my results. I cannot say enough about my visit to VG Hair Design Studio! I was LOOONG overdue for a haircut and Vilma & her team took amazing care of me from wash to cut to style. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do and Vilma patiently helped me decide what would be best and how to keep my hair healthy. Everyone there is so knowledgeable! Vilma did my cut and color and I haven’t been this happy with my hair in a long time! I don’t trust many people with cutting my hair since I love it long and she really listened and cut it just the right amount to keep it long but made it lol healthy and alive again!
She really takes her time to treat your hair perfectly! She takes her time with you and it was top notch service! Her products are the best as well. I’ve blown my hair out twice now and my hair is so soft and feels amazing. My hair hasn’t felt this healthy and smooth in the longest time.

First of all I'm a guy so walking into a salon can be nerve wrecking. You see I wanted highlights on my hair and beard and felt that my regular barbershop wouldn't do. I heard about the great reviews of VG Hair Design studio and took a chance. The staff was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I really wanted to like this salon. I went for keratin without any discount or coupon. The stylist who completed the treatment was very nice but when it came time to pay I was told the price was 33% higher than the original quote "because they had to use an extra 3oz of product." If the treatment was going to cost 33% more, they should have informed me as soon as they knew and not after the treatment was already done. I will not be returning.

Those of us with thick, textured or colored hair know that all blow dries are not created equally and if I could give more than 5 starts I would! Got my hair done on Friday at VG Hair Studio for the first time because my girl in Tuckahoe was not available and I had a party to attend. The entire experience was great! My Stylist Kelfy was AMAZING!! She was waiting for me when I arrived, took my coat, offered me something to drink, made sure I was comfortable in the hair wash station and used a masque on my hair that brought it back to life (I was not charged extra for the masque). As a man I always shied away from salons to get my hair cut because i only thought it was for women. I made an appointment with Vilma and i received an awesome mens cut. It was perfect. Very knowledgeable and up to date with mens fashion in hairstyles. Vilma and Dee are on top of there game. Walked out of there feeling confident and looking good. As a man going into a salon it can be a bit intimidating but as soon as I arrived the ladies made me feel at ease. I can be a bit of a difficult customer when it comes to haircuts - I like the sides a certain length and a certain height. The girl who cut my hair (pretty brunette but I don't remember her name) was very patient with me and did an excellent job. I will be back in a few weeks and I'll be sure to remember her name this time.

I would give zero stars if I could! Unprofessional salon. I got my hair done by Vilma for my wedding. Photos are ruined she did a horrible job my extensions were showing through. She tries to rope in you in by making it seem like she's knows what she's talking about but clearly she doesn't Bc she doesn't know how to style hair or cut/color. I heard from various people she ruined their hair. They try and up charge you for every little thing. HORRIBLE! It's a shame I got my hair designed for my wedding there. Plus all my bridesmaids hair was coming about within 2 hours. Don

I travel between California and New York and let's just say I never get my hair cut in California. Best cut I have ever got was at this salon and I will be the first to admit I have the most complicated hair. These stylists are very educated and know their stuff! Their products are also all natural and hella cool. Check them out next time you are in Rye or in the Westchester area!

If I could give it 6 stars I'd give is 7. I just got my third haircut here and I can't stop running my fingers through my silky soft, newly healthy hair. This salon works magic and my hair has never had less split ends or grown so fast (and believe me, when I first came here, it looked like I had spent a few too many minutes too close to a campfire...) . Making things even better, I love my blonde color and get compliments on it almost every day. Superb service and just in general an all around well-run business. I really did want to love this salon. Let me just start off by saying the girls are very nice and were fun to talk to, thus the extra star. I bought a groupon for this salon and was elated to see how many stars it had received. When I got there all I was interested in was two inches cut off and some summery blonde highlights. They put a glaze in my hair which I did not know wasn't included in my groupon bundle and still made me pay for it anyways, without me knowing it would be an extra charge! Another stylist even gave me sass after I questioned the need for a glaze. The dear hairstylist

Not only does my hair look fantastic, but you couldn't ask for a friendlier bunch of girls!! I've gotten cuts, highlights, color, updos & makeup here. I've NEVER been unsatisfied! A couple of weeks ago I went to VG for a bridal consultation. Carmel was my stylist and she did a great job! She was very professional, took her time and really worked with me to find a hairstyle that suited me. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Carmel did a great job at blowing out my kinky-curl hair and styling it. She's pretty versatile and can work with different hair textures. The salon is also a 2 minute walk from the train station which makes it convenient. I would definitely recommend VG hair salon and Carmel!
