We at North Jersey Physical Therapy Associates (NJPTA) pride ourselves on the discerning and thorough methods we use to evaluate your complicated chronic and acute pain and mobility limitations. However, pain cannot be only assessed structurally.
Therefore, while we utilize measurable tests such as x-rays, CAT Scans, MRIs and lab work, it is critical to thoroughly evaluate your medical history, posture, habits, work and lifestyle stress, co-existing conditions and diseases as well as body structure and function to identify the cause of your condition and not just the symptoms.

Services
We understand the soft-tissue dysfunction of the head, neck and jaw pain. We utilize myofascial release, neuromuscular reeducation and manual therapy techniques as well as key exercises for sustained pain relief. Fibromyalgia sufferers require special needs for pain relief and strengthening, which include manual neuromuscular techniques.

I went to North Jersey Physical Therapy for help with pain in my groin and hip. I had been to 2 other PT centers over the last few years. This was by far the best experience I have had.
From my initial evaluation with Carol through my weeks of treatment with Adam, the care, attention to detail and the concerned follow- up were extraordinary. Adam is a skilled, sensitive and extremely knowledgeable therapist who worked with me to achieve a remarkable improvement in my symptoms. I now have neatly complete function and virtually no pain!!!

Actively hurt my jaw in ways unrelated to the pain I had been experiencing prior to visiting this office, did not consult with my dentist towards the nature of my pain after several visits, despite my requesting they do so. However, today when I went the therapist who was not my previous therapist actively tried to argue and tell me that an underbite was when the upper teeth are in front of the lower teeth for several minutes. Continually asked the same questions over and over again, then tried to explain the back and ribcage pain I've been dealing with for the better part of a decade to me with

Adam is awesome. I've been a competitive runner for the past 15 years and for the last 3-4 years had been slowed by nagging pain in my left leg to the point where I was not able to run at all when I first came in. Prior to seeing Adam I had been to several doctors and therapists for treatment but the symptoms kept coming back. Now after seeing Adam I am back running and feeling like my old self! Right away I felt comfortable with Adam and trusted everything he was telling me. It was the first time I actually left a doctor's office and felt like I was on the right path. He explained to me how what

Carol is the BEST of the BEST. Her approach to treatment, attention to detail, and expertise in soft tissue work and myofascial pain sets her apart from just about every other PT I have ever seen. I am a professional runner and have been treated by Carol since I was in high school for a variety of injuries including sacral stress fracture, SI issues, weak hips/glutes, sprained midfoot, and most recently an injury that kept me from training for 2 months. I saw many PTs and doctors for this injury and most told me I couldn't run for 6-8months. I drove from RI to NJ to get Carol's opinion and she

Carol Katie and John are all amazing physical therapists. Carol identified my TMJ and after 6 weeks I am significantly better while other treatments and therapists were ineffective over a 8 month period of time. I could not use my right arm at all or move my neck prior to Carol and now I'm much more functional already.

I couldn't be more pleased with the care I am receiving. Dr. Tom has kept me continually challenged and improving and yet controlling my pace so that I haven't have a single setback. The environment is pleasant and the variety of equipment gives us the opportunity to ensure I have every advantage for a fully recovery. I truly feel we work as partners in my recovery and my family and friends are amazed at how quickly I am recovering from a total knee replacement. I feel great and am walking unassisted, driving, and taking stairs like champ. I still have some work to do to be strong enough to handle
