I have been working with Tejal for chronic pain associated with spinal surgery for almost three years. Unlike other physical therapists or chiropractors, Tejal takes a whole body approach. She understands how my body responds to different forms of physical activity, despite my limitations, and the importance of incorporating what you love to do into your life.
Are you still looking for a long-term solution so you can finally get back to your favorite activities?. Many people with in Chatham suffer unnecessarily with back pain and stiffness because they're told. Resting it doesn't change anything. You might get a small temporary relief, but then when you get active again you'll still be suffering from back pain and stiffness (I bet you've already experienced it!).
Years ago, as I worked with my active adults and athletes, I found a common theme in their injuries. When they were injured, they would go to the doctor and were told to stop running, take medication, or have an injection. These were all short term fixes. When they went back to their training after these interventions, the pain came right back.
As a CrossFit athlete myself, I know how frustrating it can be to find a healthcare professional that understands CrossFit. When I sustained an injury in 2017, I was told by doctors and even physical therapists that I shouldn't be doing CrossFit. I was told to keep my squats above parallel and my weights light.forever.

Tejal is the best. She has taken care of both my daughter and myself. My daughter could barely run during soccer and now is sprinting up and down the basketball court with zero issues. Tejal customized a strength training program for her and is constantly following up to make sure she is still pain free.

Both Dr. Tejal and Dr. Jen are great. They both participated in my first visit, and interviewed me, assessing my lower back pain and problem area. Dr. Jen developed a comprehensive program that she adjusts and modifies with each visit, in order to strengthen those core muscles.
The progress over just a few visits has been great.
Initially, before my first visit, with the pain I had been experiencing, I was concerned that I would have to start slowing down activities I love, like golf and racquet sports, but thankfully that isn’t the case anymore!

When I first went to Body Moksha I couldn't walk barefoot, let alone play any sports. I went to many doctors and they all said I had plantar fasciitis. After trying surgery that did not help and many months in a boot, I went to Body Moksha. Within three months I was able to walk barefoot and start strength training. Dr. Tejal gave me laser therapy and different massage treatments for the pain and scar tissue, along with a physical therapy regimen each week. I was skeptical of what PT could do for me. I’ve had sore knees forever but they recently substantially worsened. But Tejal impressed me on all levels - her knowledge of what the problem was and how to fix it, her calm and personable demeanor and the hope she instilled in me that I could heal. After running a marathon last year, my hamstrings were incredibly painful every time I jogged even a mile. I did not want to become severely injured and inactive as I head into my mid-40s. I found Dr. Ramaiya after searching for a PT expert on running. She is like no other PT I have worked with - she really focuses on what my issues are and works with me on correcting form and by getting stronger. I have gone to two other PTs and found I was just handed a few sheets with some exercises to do.

I had two major issue one with my sciatica nerve and secondly my TMJ. I was in so much pain that standing and working a 8 hour shift was next to impossible. Tejal firstly put my mind at ease and gradually we built a plan to strengthen my core. I did my exercises at home too it has worked wonders for me. I feel like I have not thanked Tejal enough for all her help so once again a BIG THANK YOU Tejal for giving me my life back…🙏

I went in to Body Moksha PT because I had a lot of prior sports injuries, but I wasn't sure if it would even be helpful to get PT because the injuries healed over 2 years ago. I was surprised to learn that my injury had caused my hips to be really weak, and was even affecting my walk and my knees. Tejal is super knowledgeable and personable, and gave me really great workouts that have helped me regain that hip strength. I've enjoyed my sessions a lot, and feel confident that I'm in a much better and stronger position to play tennis ( and go on hikes and even just work out in general! ).
