Children learn certain skills most easily during particular windows of opportunity. These Optimal Periods of Development are the few weeks or months when part of the brain absorbs new information more easily than any other time in life. At Wonder Years, we strive to facilitate individual development and assist in each child's transformation.
At Wonder Years of Northwest Austin, we take extra steps to ensure the entire family has great experiences. Your family can rest assured each day as you leave your child in our controlled access facility where digital communication allows you to feel connected through-out the day. Each room is carefully designed to provide your child with active learning areas loaded with materials that contribute to social interaction and great experiences.

Services
Wonder Years is a family-owned, early learning and child care facility in Austin. We have been dedicated to the enrichment of early experiences for our youngest community members since 2006. Our year-round program aligns with the child-initiated, play-based learning approach because children learn best through play.
We know from neuroscientists that our earliest moments-days, weeks, months-of life are a period of unparalleled brain development. It is a time when trillions of brain cell connections are made. Early experiences shape who we will become. Young children have specific windows of opportunity for achieving certain developmental milestones.
Researchers have found that attachment patterns established early in life can lead to a number of outcomes. For example, children who are securely attached as infants tend to develop stronger self-esteem and better self-reliance as they grow older. These children also tend to be more independent, perform better in school, have successful social relationships, and experience less depression and anxiety.
Infants grow at a rapid rate during their first two years. Physical growth, cognitive skills, motor and language development all play a vital role in their overall ability to move from total dependence to independence. Along with rapid physical growth, children experience specific windows of opportunities to achieve developmental milestones.
Primary caregivers are the first and most important teachers. That is why you have a big responsibility. Taking the time to interact with your child's teacher and participate in our program will create good memories (positive experiences) for you and your child to share. Our program helps guide primary caregivers through this crucial role in their child's development.

My twins has attended Wonder Years since they were 6 weeks old in 2019. I now moved out of Austin and i still travel to bring to Wonder Years. Since their very first day we were welcomed into The Wonder Years family with open and caring arms. My twins have always came home happy babies. It Bring ease to my mind and Joy to my heart that they are in trusted caring arms. We LOVE AND APPRECIATE THE CLARY AND WONDER YEARS STAFF for making me life easier.

We started our boy here when he was just past 18 months. Like any parents, we were nervous about his first daycare experience. With time we have come to appreciate more and more how we made the right choice. Most of the kids seem to like being at Wonder Years and our own little guy is really making progress and getting less shy all the time. Miss Sasha is really awesome as his main caretaker and the other staff are great too. Mister Shawn in the kitchen is great too. And of course it all starts with Davida, who keeps all the plates spinning. There are bigger and fancier places around, but we&apos

My 4 year old son has been attending the daycare since he was 1. Davida and her staff are great. I love how they continue to educate their staff and bring new ideas to the classrooms. My son has been developing right on pace with normal 4 year olds. Davida always has an open ear and listens. She also provides great advice and feedback. I will miss this daycare and the staff when my son starts kindergarten next year but in the meantime I wouldn't have him anywhere else.

I will be rating this due to my experience and also considering my two kids attending Wonder Years. We love it. Yes, the facilities may not be huge, but the classes are small and yet the teachers can spend more time with each child. I went to take a tour and I loved the hearts the staff put into their work. Kids are happy there and you can see it. I used to work at a daycare and I am very special in where I leave my kids at and I also ask them every single day how their day went on. Every day they are happy. I leave them and they are happy, I pick them up and they are happy. That is the best I

This was my sons first daycare experience. He had a great first week and then second week came around and had an extremely tough week after he realized it was a new place he would have to go to daily. Miss ivory was great. She was patient and understanding. My son was there for 2 months and had 2 different teachers and many subs. The teachers here are wonderful and have their hearts set out on the children. But the turnover rate is very high. You will never know whose taking care of your child. The director is dishonest and has her eye set out for money. That's all you are to her. She will

My 4yo twins have attended three preschools in their lives and Wonder Years is my favorite. My first criteria when searching in our new neighborhood was lunch provided. Next was tuition no more than our last school, Bluebonnet. Having passed those criteria, I scheduled a visit. The facility was very small compared to our other two schools but the hearts of the director and teacher were big. I've visited a dozen chain daycares in the past two years and have never gotten to speak at length with a teacher. I was very impressed with Ms Kate - her dedication and commitment to child development

I emailed the school with no reply after a month. Called several times and left a message when I gave up hope of ever getting a live person. They never called me back. What kind of show are they running here? Big red flag that they don't have a front desk person let alone won't return contact for prospective students. Very disappointing.

We started my son here at 3 months old and have been here for 2 months. The only reason we are leaving is because we have moved. We really liked all the teachers for the Precious Moments I class. They use an app to communicate the child's day as well as any supplies they may be running short on. It also allows them to upload a picture for the day. It was always fun to see a glimpse of what happened that day during sensory exploration and creative expression times. My son never got sick in this time and he was always well looked after. They were able to accommodate his frequent feedings.

This daycare is small business and I really wanted to love it. My daughter was there for 4 months. In that time, the rates were never posted anywhere, we never received a handbook, and there was a lot of turnover.
We loved Ms. Adella. She was my daughter's teacher from pretty much the beginning. She was open and communicative. It was very clear that she LOVED children. It more than showed. I posted rave reviews about Ms, Adella and recommended WY to other mom's.
As soon as we found out she was leaving, I started looking for new care. The management is incredibly disorganized. I&apos

Awesome facility. Very nurturing staff. My grandson is learning Spanish, Computer, and has opportunity to cook theme related recipes in his classroom each week. We love that he is being prepared for Kinder. He loves the meals served, the big playground, and the 32 inch Smart Tablet in his classroom most! Wonder Years is a truly great school.

We are extremely satisfied with Wonder Years Infant Center and Preschool for our 3-year-old daughter and 6-month-old son. To provide a little background information about myself: I have a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, I have worked for Early Childhood Intervention (developmental services for children birth through 35 months old) for 5 years, and I was the director of a well-known Austin area private preschool. With my work experience, I have spent time in many different preschool, learning center and daycare settings.
