We attended a wedding in August 2019 that used this company. Our children and several other wedding guests' children were cared for by 4 women while we enjoyed the ceremony and party. My husband and I of course snuck a few peeks of our kiddos during the wedding. Both our boys were engaged, happy and getting a lot of positive attention. The caregivers were smiling, calm and happy too. They caregivers texted me throughout the evening to let me know how my boys were doing. We had an excellent experience using this babysitting service during a trip to Austin. The service was very quick to respond to my request and they matched our family with a local kindergarten teacher, who was terrific, and the rates were quite reasonable, especially considering getting a teacher with early childhood experience/certification. I would recommend to anyone, especially if you are traveling to Austin and don’t have personal recommendations for a sitter.

We used this service while we were in Austin for a wedding. They were very responsive to my request for a sitter. We had a great experience with our sitter Katelyn. She was right on time and had called the day before to confirm and see if we had any questions for her. Our son Teddy climbed up on her lab immediately and gave her a kiss. She was really nice and clearly super comfortable with children. We were very pleased with our experience.

I'm extremely picky about babysitters...but my experience with Fairy Godsitters was excellent. Kendra (the owner?) pariently answered my questions beforehand, and matched us up with Caroline. We were away at a convention for 8 or 9 hours. Caroline was great. She even gave our puppy a bath-an activity I think my daughter requested. This is an excellent service, and I will be using them again!

Employee here - Fairy Godsitters has been so easy to work with. They gave me all the resources I needed. The jobs come to me! Very modern in their approach and the women I've worked with are some of the nicest people I've ever met. I'd leave my future children with any one of them with confidence. I'd recommend Fairy Godsitters to anyone. I'm only sad that they aren't in Ohio so I could use them for my wedding!

We just moved to Austin a couple of months ago so we don't have anyone local to watch our kids so when Star Wars came out...we knew we had to find someone to watch our munchkins. After much searching and review checking, we decided to give fairy godsitters a try and I'm so glad we did.
Blanca was amazing and took to the kids right away. I couldn't have asked for a better person to watch my sons. I left the house with complete confidence, which is saying something for a worry wort mom with some wicked anxiety.
I can't wait to use them again.

Wish I could be writing something great here, but on my very first try with Fairy Godsitters, the sitter cancelled an hour before my birthday dinner was scheduled. They communicated via text saying they would send out a mass text and email for a replacement sitter, but nobody got back to them. No back up. They texted me at 6:45pm when a sitter was scheduled for 7pm saying they 'weren't having any luck'. I said I would cancel my plans, and there was no reply text or call to apologize or even an offer for a free sitter on my next call. I would have thought that being a first-time client

I've used them for several months now as a replacement to College Nannies and Tutors.
The sitters have been very good though not quite as good as College Nannies and Tutors, but they've been good enough, reliable and $2/hr cheaper.
Most importantly for me, they have always been able to find me sitters - even on short notice. I'm a single dad that often has work travel come up at the last minute, and they've always helped me out. For that, I am very grateful. As a comparison, College Nannies and Tutors refused to help with overnights anymore.

Owner does not return calls, refuses to answer emails and ignores all communication. Even filled out their sitter request online and continue to get no response. I purchased a Living Social voucher and Jennifer agreed to extend its use beyond the expiration date because of everyone trying to use it by expiration date and sitter availability issues. I have been trying to book without luck since February and cannot get a callback or response. Will never, ever use them at all. Extremely poor service and terrible communication.

I used Fairy Godsitters for my February 22, 2014 wedding at The Allan House in downtown Austin. They were WONDERFUL!!! Many moms and dads have told me that they were a lifesaver. My wedding guests appreciated a private and safe space to drop off their children while they hit the dance floor or if their young children needed a break from the craziness of a wedding reception. The worst experience ever! Firstly, the owner doesn't really care about her clients..she disappears whenever she wants; won't take calls and won't reply back. Secondly she sent a sitter who was the worst ever...she changed my baby's diaper and didn't clean the poo properly (this was right in front of me) and when I was holding the baby for a while she disappeared and I found her roaming around in our master bed and bath without asking (again this is when I was right there!!!!). Rest of the time she was on her phone. Can you even imagine how she would be with no one at home

They are so wonderful! My kids love them. All of their sitters are very polite and considerate. They always leave my house spotless. If they can keep up with my three crazy kids, they are worth every dime I pay them! I am never worried if I am sent a new sitter because the owner only hires qualified people. The owner can always fit me in the schedule. Check them out. 5 star care for the little ones!
