In fact, according to The World Health Organization, The U.S. Surgeon General, The Environmental Protection Agency and State Health Departments all homes should be evaluated, no matter where you live.
While it is impossible to "mold proof" your house, mold growth can be managed. Our New York State licensed mold assessor has been thoroughly trained to identify the presence of mold and estimate the severity. With those findings we prepare a Mold Remediation Plan that identifies the mold, serves as a guide for the clean-up project, and provides recommendations to manage future mold growth.

Jim was amazing! He was incredibly thorough and explained any repairs that needed to be made (as well as a realistic timeline for when they should be done). Our home won't require any significant repairs, but I had the sense that Jim would remain even-keeled and non-alarmist even if there were. We received a binder for when our inspection notes were returned, including return address labels for our new home and blank printer paper to print the inspection onto. It was a really wonderful experience!

My husband and I loved working with Jim. He was at the house early, surveying the property and taking pictures of everything he saw. He was very friendly, approachable, and knowledgable. He let us know we could follow him throughout the inspection to learn as we go, or get updates whenever we liked. Throughout the inspection he let us know things we should consider, and things that were going well. The report was timely, and very detailed. The communication prior, during, and after has been exceptional. I highly recommend his services.

We worked with Jim for the inspection of our first home. He was fantastic! Took his time and was very thorough. He then went over all of his findings with us and explained everything to us. The following day we got a very detailed report about all of his findings. Very polite and informative. Jim was extremely thorough and provided us with a detailed report including pictures and descriptions of how to fix problem areas. He also provided services after the inspection including a cost estimate for repairs and a HomeBinder for contacting necessary contractors/plumbers etc. We are so grateful for his diligence, timely correspondence, and aid in making the process of home buying less stressful.
