Blu Moon Eats Catering

Blu Moon is our regular lunch spot for my cousin, aunt, mom and I. One thing we all always get is the BBT pasta salad. To us, that is their main specialty. We usually switch around which sandwiches we get. I've had the ham and Swiss on a pretzel bun, the chicken salad sandwich, and yesterday I got the Grinder sandwich. So far my favorite is the grinder sandwich. They also have tons of homemade desserts that change! We tried out the peanut butter white chocolate cheesecake and the walnut banana cake. The only reason I am giving this a 4 star over a 5 is sometimes the desserts can be a tad dry

So wow! Their hot seared salmon salad was huge, delicious, and healthy. It was unusual but good that most of the items were sectioned on the spinach. I am not a fan of almonds but their slices seemed glazed and amazing. Also, I was surprised about the raw asparagus which was very green and fresh for this time of fall. I tried the basil vinaigrette but eventually gave it to my guest for her entrée; I gave her my radish slices, too. I tried two-fruit flavored water but it was not what I preferred. Large portion for $10.99 so reasonably priced.

Best steak and potato beef stew of my life! The flavors popped! A bit of spice, long cut potatoes, tender carrots, and mushrooms galore! I have come several times after receiving $10 gift cards at work. I haven't tried anything that I didn't like. The cashiers are friendly and ready to explain the menu. Desserts up by the register switch up frequently and they are always items you wish you thought of. My favorite so far is a white chocolate Carmel Blondie. The tuna melt, turkey BLT, and chicken salad have all been superb. I'm actually looking to try most of the menu within the year

This is a hard one... I gave no stars for service (will explain below) and four stars for food. This used to be my favorite local spot for lunch/early dinner. I tried their breakfast a few times and the egg dishes were never fully cooked. I have only compliments for their lunch/dinner items. I love how their chef thinks outside the box for their Daily Specials (which are always delicious). I personally think their desserts, especially frosting, taste too much like butter (although the cake part is always good). Overall, you can't go wrong here. They have nice indoor/outdoor eating areas

Was sceptical of the Carmel Deli. It was very VERY Surprisingly delicious. The portions are FANTASTIC and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Very spacious but not loud! Though the bathrooms ARE NOT in the restaurant, they indoor just a turn or two inside the design center. I have made this a new favorite place to go in Carmel for breakfast and lunch!

Driving through Carmel and saw this Cafe. Headed in to see what was on the menu. When I came through the door I was greeting with some delicious looking sweets! There was also a cold case with assorted salads. They serve both breakfast and lunch, I missed breakfast so settled on lunch. I ordered the Hot Chicken Bacon (hold the bacon) Ranch Salad. The sandwich was hot and it's real carved pieces of chicken! It also came with cheese and spinach. The sandwich was fresh, delicious and filling. I will add this to my list of repeats. Great Customer Service too.

I recently visited Blu Moon Cafe and was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this place! Firstly, the service was great. The staff were very nice and helpful since this was my first time. It is an open and welcoming environment. There is plenty of seating and an outdoor patio for the summer.

Local, fresh food in downtown Carmel. The place is really cute with funky decor, the chandelier had forks in it.

You order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. The food is super fresh. The Thai Noodle salad was delicious, crisp, tangy, filling.... I wonder how they get the perfect avocados on all the orders?

Blu Moon is a must to know about and visit' kind of place. It's one of those staples ... a place you go to that you know will always be good, quick, and reliable. I have been there regularly since they opened many years ago. They have delicious salads, trio plates (pick 3), sandwiches, and breakfast. I usually get a salad or trio plate, but last time I tried the avocado toast and it was great. You look at the beautiful food through large glass cases, and then order at the counter then find a seat. They deliver your food to you. The owners are visable, and the employees are nice

I checked out this space after my yoga class to celebrate my last day of spring break. I was specifically craving avocado toast at a place I could work for a bit without being bothered.
Pros: coffee-excellent flavor and unlimited pours for a decent price; lots of seating options with nice (shop-able) decor; good service
Cons: food was ok. Not bad, but not fantastic. The toast had sriracha on it, which I didn't realize. It was ok, but not great. I also feel like the fruit was a little overpriced for the amount received.

If you're looking for a cute little lunch spot that's more on the healthier side, look no further than Blu Moon Cafe. It's attached to the Indiana Design Center building in downtown Carmel. The atmosphere has a chic, modern, laid back vibe to it. They have a pretty open space with plenty of seating. The big windows offer a lot of natural light that makes everything seem brighter.

Nice place! Really like the food here and that it is fresh, local and pretty healthy. There's nowhere else I'd want to go for such tasty deli salads. The BLT is the best I've ever had and their spicy tomato soup is the bomb! Staff is super helpful & friendly. Great work area, wifi, etc too!

My new favorite lunch spot, hands down.

Blu Moon is a short walk from Main Street in downtown Carmel. A great place to grab breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea or a sweet treat. On my inaugural visit, I ordered the vegetable wrap - highly recommend. Great bang for your buck, too. The wrap was large enough to stretch to two meals, like Brittany S. said, but I conquered it in one sitting because 1) I was hungry and 2) I wasn't sure how well it would hold to the next meal/day. I also recommend the black bean feta salad. Oh, and the Thai noodle salad...and the California sandwich...yep, pretty sure

I kinda had a feeling Blu Moon Cafe would be delicious just based on driving by and seeing the cute restaurant, and I was right! (I guess sometimes it does pay to judge a book by its cover!)

I got the Chicken Ranch Wrap, which came with peppered bacon, spinach and tomato, all wrapped up in a green spinach tortilla. Yum! It was the perfect light lunch that I was looking for. It came with a small pile of pickles, which are housemade. I don't like pickles generally, but I savored each and every one of these! They were a little spicy and tangy.

If you are thinking, "Where can I go to get the most affordable lunch in Indy?" or "Where do I get the most consistent meal?", Blu Moon might not be for you.

However, I give it 4 stars because I always enjoy my experience. I've had some hit or miss items on the special board (today's short rib was a huge hit). The Italian Grinder is a hit more times than not! When I'm feeling super naughty, I get the tuna and add bacon. That bad boy will set you back $12+ so it might be a decision of whether or not my mortgage gets paid that month if I eat it too much.

I thought the food was okay at best.

I ordered the California.

It's a turkey sandwich with avocado, cheese, cucumber, and some multi grain bread.

Sadly I could only get the flavor of the cucumber on each bite.

The turkey and cheese could have been little sheets of paper because there was just no flavor.

The multi grain bread was nice thick cut with a good texture.

The sandwich is served in a wire box with parchment paper on the bottom. I was not a fan of this because it was just a little awkward to get your hands on the sandwich.

On my mission to better familiarize myself with Carmel and the northern side of our fair city, I visited Blue Moon Cafe for lunch this past week. Many thanks to Brooke K's review and spiffy photo of the Thai Chicken noodle salad. How could I resist rice noodles piled high on pickled red onions, lettuce, sesame seeds, peanut vinaigrette, roasted red peppers and chicken? It was just as tasty as it looked and for $10 I was able to stretch it into two meals - easily. And I'm not one of those cute light eating ladies.

This place is adorable. It has eclectic interior decor which is quite appropriate thanks to the location where it's housed in.

The food is delish. The paninis are something else. Their pancetta and brie panini has caramelized pears which you can usually find in really high end and trendy breakfast joints in LA.

Price wise, super affordable. They even have lunch specials and offers catering. Don't skip on their dessert. Made from scratch mile high red velvet cake? Sign me up.
