We are open with a limited schedule by appointment only (including glasses selection and repairs). Let us know how we can be of service to you or your family! If you would like to order more contact lenses or glasses please call or text our office numbers listed below. If you're looking for quality care with a personal touch, we hope you'll give us a call.

We look forward to the opportunity of serving your TOTAL family's eye care needs. We have two convenient locations and would be delighted to have you as a patient.
Services
Personalized Care - we take the time to find out what's important to you, assess your situation thoroughly, and tailor an individualized treatment plan to address your specific needs. Exceptional Value - while other offices may be cheaper, we feel no one provides better value than us! Telemedicine - for certain appropriate conditions, we can provide telemedicine to you in the comfort of your home or office!
All types available, including oxygen permeable, disposable, astigmatic, bifocal, and colored contact lenses. Does your child have myopia, also known as nearsightedness? Our office utilizes specialty contact lenses such as multifocal soft lenses and CRT (ortho-keratology) to help slow the progression of myopia.
If we are to file any insurance vision/medical ALL insurance information must be complete. If you are unable to keep the time reserved, as a courtesy to other patients that would like to see us, kindly let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can make the slot available to someone else. Failure to do so will result in a $25 deposit for future appointments.
We all want to protect our eyesight and overall health for ourselves and our family - that is why annual eye exams are important. Regular eye care and exams can protect and prevent many eye diseases, if detected early. Today, a whole range of eye problems can be treated successfully without total vision loss.
We encounter blue UV radiation on a daily basis from our phones, tablets, computers, and any other electronic screen. This radiation can be extremely damaging to our eyes, increasing our risks for age related macular degeneration and other retinal issues. We also will experience an increase of eye fatigue and strain when looking at a monitor throughout the day.

After my 10-15 years of experience with this office I have generally been pleased. But when I needed a minute-long visit to simply replace a missing nose piece, I was told to make an appointment. Next opening? 5 days! So much for their customer service and customer loyalty. Will be looking for another optometrist after this treatment.

I have lived in GA for the past 9 years and I can’t believe it has taken me this long to find Wood Eye Care. My son and I had our first appointment today and it was excellent from start to finish. The entire staff was extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service. You can tell Dr Wood loves what he does for a living and he’s great at it. He was truly a joy to be around. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who assisted me today with finding glasses. She was great and took the time to go through many different styles to help find glasses I was happy with. This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had and I have worn glasses for over 40 years. I would never recommend this company EVER. To many excuses and lack of communication. The staff is nice but that’s is it.

Although I had to schedule my vision appointment a month out, I totally understand. Upon arriving I checked in via text message and was let into the office & greeted by a friendly young woman with a st pattys headband on . I was offered any of their beverages in the mini fridge ( which I thought was awesomeeeee) and was taken back to the first room less than 10 minutes later. The woman that took me back (I'm guessing a tech?) did a few tests and then we proceeded to another room and did more small vision tests. We did this maybe twice more then to drop me off in a final room to wait for

I am hesitant to write a review because there have been many good reviews and maybe it's just the pandemic/virus situation, but I have found them extremely hard to deal with. They do not answer their phone and they do not return messages that you leave. My eyeglasses which were just a change of prescription, I already had the frames, took almost am month to come back. When they came back, they were not right and I couldn't see. It took another week to get an appointment to have someone check them. When I brought them in the optician argued with me that I just needed to hold my head

I've been visiting Wood Eye Care for close to 20 years now. It's a real pleasure to see them. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. It's very obvious they care about ensuring my eyes are healthy and well cared for as well as any contacts or glasses work well and look good too! I highly recommend them. Dr. Jim is the best! I always enjoy my visits with him.

My daughter came down with a small eye infection on Friday and she was leaving for a 2-week class trip the next day on Saturday. The team immediately scheduled her in during their lunch hour and arranged extra care for her while she was away. You'll never find commitment like that from a national chain. That was 12 years ago and I'll never forget it. Thanks.

This place is awesome! They are very kind, flexible, organized, and knowledgeable and willing to work with everyone. They were able to work me in ( which I appreciate b/c I was in pain) and was able to ease my pain almost immediately. They were able to complete a full eye exam and give me a RX for further treatment. I would recommend this place to everyone. just awesome, I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Glad to say I have finally found the perfect place. Dr. Wood and his staff are amazing, so friendly!! It was my first time as a patient, all my questions and concerns were answered. I took in my own frames and they were able to put in new lens. Very satisfied :)

I have been seeing Dr. Jim Wood for about 25 years. I respect his professional experience and judgement; he is careful and thorough; I enjoy my time with him (even though it requires hearing about his beloved Ohio State buckeye football team :)); and I appreciate his helpful and competent staff. Today the baseline assessments were performed by Noemi who I had not met previously; very good; very efficient; very friendly to spend the time with. I have a couple of potential issues that Dr. Wood has been watching (glaucoma and cataracts). He is careful to check these conditions each year as I see

What are you looking for in an eye doctor? Wood Eye Care provides the very best care. I've been a patient there for 19 years. The staff truly operates as a caring team to provide top-notch service. In addition, the facility features the very latest in eye diagnosis technology. (For example, I used to dislike the "puffy" test that measures eye pressure, but that's been replaced. Also, if you don't want to get your eye dilated, there's another option.) The doctor and staff are always professional and friendly. I leave the office refreshed, knowing that my eyes have

I've been a patient here for about 9 years. I used to go to the Lilburn location but I moved and started going to the Lawrenceville location because it's closer. I've experienced excellent customer service, from the front desk to Dr. Wood who's very kind! All the physicians are very well knowledgeable. I'd definitely recommend either location!

10+ year patient, and just completed an annual review. Equipment upgrade for retinal scan was impressive. Staff was prompt and professional. My Wife has rare, complex eye issues. Dr. Wood helped, and referred her to a Specialist who turned out to be one of the best in the US. She still has grat vision, in spite of overlapping difficulties.

If I could give no stars I would. I had an 11:30 a.m. appointment. I left at 1:30 p.m., without ever having seen the doctor. The preliminary work was done, at noon I was left in the exam room to wait for the doctor. I finally gave up at 1:20 p.m. The office was closed for lunch - someone had to unlock the door to let me out. I am livid. I have missed more than half a days work now for nothing. No recommendations from me on this place.

My overall experience at Wood's Eye Clinic is very positive. The reminder e-mail that appointment time was near was very helpful. Making the appointment was also very easy. The various exams I believe were thorough and informative. Dr. Woods, as usual, was his bubbly self and went over all of the various test results with me. Then the exam itself was done and it too seemed thorough. In the end no new glasses were needed which meant I was not up sold something I did not need. Overall, a good experience. Thank you.

I went to this office a month ago and everything went OK. Dr. Wood is great, but his office staff,.... not so much. When I went there a month ago, they insisted on having my medical insurance, but when I didn't give it to them, they really gave me the stink eye (like I was doing something wrong by not turning over ALL my personal information to them).

Now, my wife schedules an appt a week in advance. They send her messages b/c we changed insurance. We are very busy, so she did not respond to their message, b/c she figured they could get the information when she arrived. After all, they

Very pleasant experience. Upscale, yet comfortable office, wonderful staff, super doctor, and competitive pricing. They even had a sample pair of contacts in my prescription (which is rare) so they were able to check the sizing on my eyes the same day of the exam.....so no return visits!!!!!! They ship your contacts to your home or office, free of charge. I would DEFINATELY recommend.

I just recently changed insurances. My coworker suggested Wood Eye Care. A small family business. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is best to schedule your appointment early!!

Dr. Wood, is incredibly nice and very enthusiastic. I needed that for such an early eye appointment. They even have this survey on their website which gives you $15 off if you complete it, print it out, and bring it in. They were much cheaper than my previous eye care place. I loved this place! =)
