Blepharitis is a common condition that causes inflammation of the eyelids. It is characterized by redness, swelling, styes, cysts, and flaky crusts at the eyelid margin and along the lash line. Symptoms also include scratchy, swollen, tender, and irritated eyes. Various types of bacteria can cause blepharitis.
A cataract is a clouding of the lens inside the eye that leads to a decrease in vision. Left untreated, it is the most common cause of blindness and is conventionally treated with surgery. Vision loss occurs because opacification of the lens obstructs light from passing through and being focused on to the retina at the back of the eye.
Diabetic retinopathy is an ocular manifestation of diabetes, a systemic disease, which affects up to 80 percent of all patients who have had diabetes for 10 years or more. The longer a person has diabetes, the higher his or her chances are of developing diabetic retinopathy. Despite these intimidating statistics, research indicates that at least 90 percent of new cases could be reduced.

The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I realized I hadn't had my eyes checked this year, and not wanting to waste my insurance allowance for the year, called on December 6th. They didn't have a single appointment open until after the first of the year, but they said they would check some things and see what they could do. I wasn't expecting anything, but they called me back within an hour and told me they had opened some more appointments and could get me in 2 days later! Even during the end-of-year rush, they made it a priority to get me in. And my appointment went great

First time at this eye doctor and it was a great experience. Totally agree with the previous review on how friendly the front desk is, especially the woman on the far left when walking in. Hate I didn’t catch her name. Offices constantly underestimate how important customer service is, but she was on it!
Dr. Myers was excellent, very knowledgeable, personable and patient. I enjoy not feeling rushed and I felt like I was truly cared for as an individual. Can’t say enough good things. Nice selection of frames as well! I will be back and will be glad to call this my eye doctor for many years

I have been a client for over a decade and the service is consistently 'five-star'. It begins with the online communication (i.e user-friendly software: annual reminders, relevant forms, confirmation, etc) and continues with the professional staff of Dr. Forster. They really value your time, input, and strive to maintain a level of excellence.
I highly recommend Forster Eyecare to family and friends because I trust and appreciate the family-like atmosphere, especially during these challenging medical times.

I had a very pleasant experience at Forster Eyecare. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted with a pleasant smile and “can I help you”. The lady (I didn’t catch her name) at the reception desk has a very pleasant and genuine disposition. It was my first time there and I immediately became comfortable. Every person I talked to was very nice and professional, but not stuffy. The optometrist was very detailed and listened to my concerns. The atmosphere is nice too.

I appreciated everything about my visit. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I felt like I was part of their family. The care I received from the receptionist all the way to checking on new glasses was top notch. Dr. Forster and his team were thorough in their examination of my eyes and explanations and they did it with kindness and in an engaging way! I would recommend them to anyone just like they were recommended to me.

Our family eye care Doctor retired after 29 years so we needed a new Eye Doctor. New patients to the medical practice, Dr. Forster came highly recommended from friends who know him. We were very please meeting Dr. Forster and had a very positive meeting for our first eye appointment. We will continue to visit this facility and would definitely recommend Dr. Forster.

The woman in the phone (wish I knew her name) Nicely said "no problem!! Come on in and bring your insurance info we will get you set up". I pick up my son from school in a rush get over there. Un load my children from the car... Going in excited to have this off of my todo list. I woman with short brown hair and glasses seemed to be caught off guard and and kept trying to get my information

I started seeing Dr. Forster when I first began "adulting" in 2005. I have been wearing glasses since I was 8, and my vision changed so quickly that by the time I was 16, my vision had regressed so badly that my eye doctor then recommended RGP contact lenses when I was ready to nix my glasses. So, from 16-23, I wore RGP lenses, and I hated them. I hated the cost. I hated the care. So...when I chose Dr. Forster as my optometrist in 2005, he was the first doctor to tell me I could switch into soft lenses! Woo hoo! Dr. Forster is great, and his staff has always been welcoming and friendly

My wife and I have been using Dr. Forster for many years and are still using his office even after moving several hours away. At our recent visit we were taken back quickly with no waiting once taken back. My time is important so not waiting around at any appointment is huge to me. For our last two yearly appointments we have brought our now two year old boy and the staff is awesome about helping to keep him happy and get our appointment completed quickly. They also have a children's play room in the waiting room which is great while waiting to be taken back.

I am new to the area and selected Forster Eye Care because they accept VSP insurance, are located about 6 miles from my house, and had an informative web site with great reviews online. Dr. Forster and his staff were wonderful! I am happy to have found my new optometrist and am extremely satisfied with their service. Would recommend this office to anyone in need of eye care.
