Your body naturally wants to be in balance. So when it deals with injury, trauma or pain, it looks for the best way to compensate. That can often mean a pattern of poor posture and strain on other systems, which in turn can cause more problems. At SD Rehab we'll find the most productive way to recreate the right balance for your body.
It takes years of specialized training, dedication, and skill to create the unique and varied sounds of the music we love. Whether classical, folk, jazz or blues, a musician has a special relationship to his or her body. Each depend on this body throughout their lifetime to actualize their dreams and create their sound.
A contemporary approach to the classic form of body conditioning developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. The focus of Pilates is to build a strong core. When done correctly, this eliminates back pain and allows for natural strength and efficiency with all of life's activities. While achieving strength, Pilates also creates more flexibility throughout the body limiting joint stresses and enhancing spinal alignment.

Stephanie helped me with frozen shoulder and keeps me in fine working order. As a landscape designer, my job can be very physically demanding and taking a regular postural pilates class with Stepahinie has supported the therapeutic work I did earlier with her. Very grateful to have her on my team. The Spirited Gardener.
