Walked in for a consult today, Was stared down by Karen and Janet behind the desk. They asked if I had a mask to which i said no and their eyes told me I wasn’t welcome. Biggest problem was that they didn’t at least offer a cheap 5 cent mask to get my business. Guess they didn’t need it. So, On my way out I asked if that was a state or store policy, they responded it was Law that medical professionals must where one even if vaccinated which was a lie. I have a long story but and important one DONT DO BUSINESS HERE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
This business is so unprofessional and entirely unorganized. I've regretted the entire experience from beginning to end. First off there's a 50 fee applied to your next visit if you miss an appointment which just seems like money gouging and made me uneasy about what if some life circumstance happens and I can't make it to my appointment. Next when scheduling my appointment I asked about the cost for a contact exam because I will be paying out of pocket and I need to know what all to bring I was told $90 on the

My eye exam, the office staff, optometrist, and optician are always top notch. I was initially cautious to buy glasses outside of Warby Parker, as I’ve used them without complaint for a decade. Still love WP, but the online shop is no comparison for the in-person service at Ghent Eye Care. 10/10 would recommend.

Both I and my 6 yr old daughter are patients here, and I highly recommend them, especially in light of their safety practices during the epidemic. Before COVID-19 when we got our eyes checked they gave my daughter a coloring book and stickers, and were patient with answering her questions while they checked my eyes. Now with reopening they require masks inside, and when you try on glasses they disinfect each pair before they go back on the rack. As someone with an immunocompromised spouse, I really appreciate this extra care. My glasses got twisted so I had to go in, and I felt safe the whole time

This optometrist is unprofessional and very rude! Please do not go here. I have not been able to see for over a week and nothing has been resolved after I’ve spent $500 here. The manager laughed at me as we spoke about my concern and she thought it was a joke. So please don’t waste your time. I have left a previous review but I am leaving another one just to emphasize to not go to this company please! I called again to receive some type of contacts because mine kept ripping they laughed at me again and told me they’re “no longer dealing with me” in those words. Very rude and disrespectful

Super happy with Ghent Eye Care. Excellent location in the heart of Ghent. The staff is always super friendly. I ran out of contacts before my appointment and they offered me samples at no charge so I didn’t waste a box of contacts if my prescription had changed. I highly recommend them. They also have a camera where they can take a picture of your eyes for a small extra charge versus having them dilated.

Being in a military family, I hadn't been seen by a civilian optometrist is years. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I got an appointment for the very next day. The staff was wonderful! I was having "one of those days" and they made it so much better. I will definitely be back to see them. Ghent Eye Care has my highest recommendation!
