When my Father, at the young age of 66, unexpectedly passed away this past September, my brothers and I were not prepared to say the least. Not prepared for the loss, the sadness, or for all the decisions that we needed to make quickly.
When we went in for our consultation, everyone at Adkins Funeral Home was very compassionate and helped us through a very difficult experience.
Walter, the Funeral Director, guided us through the decision making process, explaining every detail of the options we had for the services. When we needed things explained several times, because it is hard to focus when

I thought that the owner and his wife were extremely professional and caring. I think what Curt B. (the other reviewer on here) maybe expressing is the owners jovial personality. I never thought it was ever inappropriate, on the contrary, he can sometimes provide a much needed smile when everyone around you is falling apart. I think it just boils down to different personalities and perspectives.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I can not tell you what a horrible experience we had at this "business". We were grieving over the loss of a child and the owner "joked" and laughed while we were experiencing the worst thing a parent can go through. This business owner was one of the most insensitive people I had ever met and made a truly tragic experience even worse. I could go on about what awful things this "business" did... but it's still to painful. I have every intention of letting everyone I know ,about my families experience. Please look
