If my death occurred tomorrow, where would the money needed to pay for my funeral come from? If my death occurred tomorrow, what would I regret most regarding the arrangement of my funeral? It's a good personal tool to use in being prepared. Many people plan their own funeral in a sincere effort to be helpful to their families.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

These people are rude and crass. I told them, specifically, not to embalm my children's father because he was going to be cremated, they took him away and immediately embalmed him. After the embalming, my children who chose to view him, had to see his arms stuck up in the air in an unnatural way and they couldn't place their hands on him because he was like stone. Bodies not embalmed, are not like that, they are more natural. These people are all about the dollar, not the feelings of the grieving family. Don't trust these people, they do what they want with your loved one. We had our loved one

Kind, caring, and compassionate--that's what I recall from the good folks at Belton-Stroup. Years ago, we had two deaths in the family a few months apart and they handled both services. Everything went as well as it can go in those situations and their professionalism and know-how took a load off the family.

I was shocked to learn of the passing of my mother, unexpectedly and from out of state. I called the funeral home utterly hysterical in the middle of the night. She answered and told me to "rest" and call back the next day. I was hysterical. Crying. Traumatized. Susan was so compassionate and caring - completely understood what I was going through. I was fallen, crushed, devastated, with no idea what to do. She found me the hazmat team, lawyer, everything. No one can take away the pain of a loved one, but she understood how deeply I was hurting (and still am). Even her cat was amazing

In the hardest time of our lives Belton Stroup made everything very easy. After our daughter Alexa passed away I was dreading dealing with a funeral home but the folks at Belton Stroup shattered the stereotype I had in my mind. They took care of every little detail and without even asking cut costs for us where they could.
Never wanted to do a review on a funeral home but I felt compelled to in this case.

Excellent efforts on behalf of Susan, John and staff made our experience very positive. All aspects went very well even when I made a mistake and left a number of pictures out of the previously completed memorial video. Susan and John were so patient and gracious and at the very last minute redid the mix. How above and beyond they went to properly portray my mother-in-law. My husband and I are forever grateful and thank them. Together, we highly recommend Belton-Stroup services . Very professional yet with much warmth and empathy.....again, many blessings!

My husband passed away on June 19, 2014 at home after a long illness. John and Susan Stroup owners of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home were very kind, helpful and treated me with the greatest respect. When their staff, actually Susan and a staff member came to take my husband to their Funeral Home my husband was treated with a great amount of respect. They honored all my wishes and made this sad time for me a bit more peaceful. All my requested arrangements and questions were honored. They and their staff were sympathetic to my needs and emotional situation. Thank you John, Susan and your staff for helping

My stepfather passed away a few weeks ago and we used the services of Belton Stroup. They were very professional, caring and explained the whole process to my mother and myself with the upmost respect. They made the process smooth and easy. Though it was a hard time dealing with the loss of my dad we had a good experience with the staff and services provided by their funeral home. Thanks for the great job.
