Services
McColaugh Funeral Home has been owned and operated by the McColaugh Family since it's beginning in 1960. Robert S. McColaugh grew up in Greene County and lived there his entire life. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1949. He had previously managed Nagley Funeral Home in downtown Xenia.
We proudly offer a wide variety of funeral services and final disposition options to prepare a meaningful service to honor your loved one. Whether you choose to utilize our beautiful funeral home or your place of worship, the compassionate staff at McColaugh Funeral Home will assist your family in creating a personal tribute that meets your families needs and your loved ones wishes.
Staff members of McColaugh Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Rock was a lifelong resident of Xenia.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

It’s been a few weeks since my grandmother’s service, and the treatment Mary gave is still heavy on my mind while I navigate through my family’s loss. She has no compassion in her heart for the families she ill-serves. She made us feel like an inconvenience in one of our most vulnerable times, and spoke to my family as if were incompetent. We’ve used this funeral home in the past when Rock, so I’m highly disappointed with Mary’s service. I just don’t want other people to go through what mine did.

My family has been using this funeral home for many, many years and I see why. Rock was great and not out to rip you off, like a lot of other companies in this business. He is very helpful and personable!

My parents retired in Xenia many years ago and my brothers and I were so blessed to have this funeral home assist us with my father's funeral and more recently, my mother's. They came to the assisted living home (Legacy) and took my mother's body, then met with us to decide details of the funeral arrangements. Everything was done with such care and sensitivity. Thank you to Mary Massie and the McColaugh staff and family for all you did to assist us in our time of grief.
