It has had five major acquisitions in its' history: 1982 - purchase of Rogue Property Management; 1985 - purchase of Hockersmith Property Management; 1993 - purchase of Active Property Management Services, Inc.; 2001 - purchase of Total Management Services, Inc.; and 2011- acquisition of RE/MAX PLATINUM.

It's a mixed bag. Incredibly expensive to get into a place, and of course the market drives that. Poor maintence--you literally have to be so persistent to get service. Repeatedly had my garbage disposal break and it was going to be two weeks before they could get someone out and the sink was backing up into the dishwasher and onto the floor. They told me not to use the sink, so I will wash dishes where? The shared laundry room is always kept nice by the fella who cleans it, but you have to pull teeth to get the machines serviced and the light bulbs have been missing for months. Literally had a

This company has not properly dealt with the black mold in our apartment bathroom. We’ve had it for over 2 years it was here even before I moved in, my roommate has told it was there when she first moved in. They send someone to “clean” it and all they do is paint over it and not actually do anything to help, so the the black mold will reappear in 2 weeks. I’m worried I’m going to have health issues because of it.

Ashland CPM and everyone I have worked with here are all very kind, prompt and beyond helpful. They sent me listings based on my needs and helped me find the perfect place for my family and I. They were willing to work with us when other property managements wouldn’t because of not the best credit and not very much rental history. They answered any questions I had and helped me switch applications to a new property when something better came along with no complaint and did it swiftly and got us re-approved for the new location within a few days and kept us updated without us having to ask which

I rented from CPM for a couple years and overall had a good experience! They are easy to communicate with and I like that you can pay rent online. I had a couple issues with the actual owner of the building, but there wasn't anything CPM could have done about them! In my new house, CPM manages our HOA and our contact there is friendly and promptly responds to all inquiries. I think that being a property manager would honestly be a horrible job because being the "middleman" always sucks, but CPM handles it well.

Now that I am out of Ashland for good and never have to rely on this monopoly again, I finally feel comfortable writing a review. This company is overpriced, unprofessional, and tried to cheat me and my roommate out of our money on multiple occasions. Students who rent from CPM: be prepared to fight to keep your deposit. They will try to take advantage of you, especially if it is your first time renting. I bought this mobile home short of two years ago and had never lived in a mobile home park prior to this purchase. This has been a whole new experience. This mobile home was tired and worn out, kind of like me, and in need of some tender loving care. Without much information or direction from anyone, I jumped right in there. CPM is the worst property management company in Southern Oregon. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They do not help you whatsoever and will try to penalize you to get extra money out of you whenever possible. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
All employees working for CPM at the Ashland Office are terrible and will not allow you to file any sort of complaint and the running joke there is that people complain all of the time so they smirk in your face. Screw you guys.

This is by far THE WORST rental company I have ever had the displeasure of renting through. My house was completely INFESTED WITH RATS, and they told me "Ashland just gets rats everywhere in the winter" and sent a pest control company to set up one single trap under my home. The rats were in the walls, in the house, ate my dogs food through the bag, in the oven, and in the dryer! They were rude, never answered phone calls, and made me pay rent while I lived in a hotel due to the rats. The people who work here are sorry excuses for people, they monopolize all rentals in Ashland, and are beyond stingy

I've been renting from CPM for about a year and a half in 2 separate properties and my sister has been renting from them for over 3 years. We have always received great service and have been well taken care of. Every issue we have ever had has been solved within a few days and with very little to no problems.
The first place I rented from CPM, all but $100 of my deposit was returned because they needed to replace a filter for the AC and the stove coils and spill pans - both of which were listed in the rental agreement as my responsibility.

After living in an apartment since my family and I came to Oregon, we finally moved into a beautiful home. Good location, lovely interior and fairly newly built house and its all thanks to Kristin, Cece and Randee at the Ashland office. They were able to help us every step of the way, answered questions we had and I appreciate that alot. It was a big transition for us. We've had a good experience and will be sticking with CPM.
