Little Tree Huggers (LTH) Earth Center is a bilingual nonprofit, nondenominational environmental educational initiative in Leesburg, Virginia dedicated to breaking down barriers to sustainability in all areas of society. LTH Earth Center is the evolution of LTH LLC, a home-based Preschool, licensed to operate with a maximum of 12 children since 2015.
Due to an overwhelming response to our curriculum and award winning environmental commitments like solar and geothermal, we were urged by the local community to embark on the process of expanding LTH into an environmental educational center able to impact the lives of hundreds of more children and families.

Services
LTH breaks down social and cultural barriers to understanding and sustainability through stimulating outdoor bilingual learning experiences, celebrating other cultures, exploring the wonders of nature as well as teaching tolerance, solidarity, and empathy for one another and the environment throughout their lives.
Lia originally hails from the beautiful country of Argentina, where she learned to appreciate nature and care for the environment from a young age. She studied Fine Arts and Political Science at university level for three years, and in 1989 she left Argentina to travel the world with her husband George.
Lia Marie discovered her love for nature, music and the performing arts while still in her mother's belly! She is a natural performer and staunch advocate for animal and human rights as well as sustainability and conservation. Helping Little Tree Huggers with music and as an assistant teacher ever since 2015, she she too is fluent in Spanish and has become an integral part of our team!
At Little Tree Huggers we feel it's important to celebrate your child's growth in every way, and photographs are one of the many ways that we like to do so. Our resident photographer, as well as multi-media manager, Heaton Johnson comes to LTH twice a year to do spring and fall portraits. Every year we choose different outdoor locations at the preschool for the backdrops.
This program is designed for families with a part-time working parents or a mix of part-time and full. Little Tree Huggers aims to provide affordable year round care for your little ones ages three to five years old. Due to an increased demand for our nature-based curriculum, we are pleased to offer one of the area's only 12 month bilingual programs, closing only for half a month in July for summer break.

Love Little Tree Huggers! Our granddaughter goes here and is a very happy camper. The development we’ve seen has been astounding, and it sometimes hard to remember that she is only 3 and a half years old! Recently the children came to a field trip at the Leesburg Airport with me and to my surprise counted the airplanes in Navajo! Animals, friends, languages and learning...what’s not to love!?

Little Tree Huggers, where were you when MY children were little?
Our granddaughter attends this wonderful school currently, and we couldn’t be happier. She is engaged by the minute, whether the children are inside, in their little classroom, or outdoors, on the grounds, connecting with Nature in a myriad of ways. She learns expressions in different languages and routinely helps to care for the many types of animals there. Pictures of their activities are posted daily, and I often find myself wishing *I* could attend!
