Chinese Medicine treatment is holistic in nature, which means that acupuncture and herbal medicine are able to help people with a very wide range of conditions. All health conditions arise from imbalance and dysfunction of one or more body systems. I really enjoy being a patient of Chinese Medicine of Idaho. They listen to me and respect my feelings. After a long history of more traditional doctors not listening to me or treating me like a series of symptoms instead of a whole person, it’s really refreshing.
I’m using herbs to treat my endometriosis after western medicine stopped working and the only other recourse was invasive surgery. They’re more effective than anything else I’ve tried and I’m grateful to have something that doesn’t give me gnarly side effects or just knock me out.

I was struggling with severe headaches for weeks before coming to Mara—I should have come much earlier than I did! Last Fall I developed a peripheral neuropathy which made my feet burn all night. It was impossible to sleep. After spending thousands in diagnostic studies, with no recommended course other than to strip veins, I tried something different. Within a few weeks of acupuncture and herbal treatment the pain subsided such that I had completely pain free days and nights. I'm still continuing treatment, but this has been one of the best decisions I've made to get well.
