Services
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.
When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. We at The Pet Stop Veterinary Clinic in Lonsdale, MN have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. We have a veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Care Credit) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
Heartworm prevention should also be given. Make sure your dog or cat is adequately protected by a product with a wide margin of safety and also a broad range of control over not only heartworms, but also intestinal parasites. Cases of pets ingesting their owners' medications are becoming more frequent.
If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership. Fish can be very rewarding as pets, and you just may be surprised about how much fish actually interact with their owners. Thanks to advancements in veterinary care, today's cats can live well into their teen years.

Excellent Dr. and Staff that care so much about our dogs. They are very accommodating for the large volume they produce and always provide all information needed to make best decision for my dog’s health needs. Our family feels this business is an excellent value to our four legged family health.

Coming and supporting this veterinarian for years but she has gotten WAY to busy to take care of her customers who were there supporting her from the beginning. Dr. Whitney and staff used to care about my many pets but now they could care less! Very upsetting but I guess when you can't get in and get turned away THREE times, its time to find a NEW vet!

Unexpectedly had to put our oldest kitty down during the peak of the pandemic. The staff here treated us like family, let us spend time with him to say goodbye, and let one of us stick with him til the end. All late on a Friday in May. Really a great bunch of people. I can imagine they’re just as compassionate (if not more so) to their usual customers too.

These folks are great. Very nice, very honest and very affordable. They did not try up-sell me for products or services that I didn't need.

I have a golden retriever who is 4 years old that in the past year I’ve been bringing her to different vets trying to figure out what is wrong with her. From bleeding from her mouth, to bumps on her body, to ripping her hair out & goopy eyes, lethargic, depression, pain. I was devastated thinking I’d never get a diagnosis without paying thousands of dollars. I was at the verge of surrendering her to make sure someone could be able to pay for all the expenses to fix her because I was hurt seeing her in pain constantly and unable to determine what was wrong with her due to having not enough funds

I don’t even know where to begin. My dog hurt his leg playing outside. I called my vet (not Pet Stop) the next day for them to see him and they told me the soonest they could see him was over a month out...for an injury! So I called around to every vet in the area and more and no one had openings. I finally reached Pet Stop and I am so grateful I did. They were more than understanding of my situation and were so kind. They were able to get me in and never made me feel like an inconvenience even though my dog was extremely difficult. They were so understanding of his issues and were so nice about

My cat Vishous was a patient since September 2020. They took awesome care of him and at the end of his life treated him with care and dignity. I thank them for all they did for my kidcat Vishous. And thank them for all they still do to keep our pets, who are members of the family, safe and healthy.

This is by far hands down one of the best Vet clinics in the state. We have a Great Dane and a small little Yorkie (Yes, he gives the big guy a run for his money). Dr. Whitney is a remarkanle Veterinarian and shows a true passion for this field and love towards all the animals that come through the door. We have been going to them for a couple years now and have always been pleased with the pricing and excellent care our pups have received. I would also like to mention that the Vet Techs are very polite and extremely knowledgable. I would highly recommend Dr. Whitney and her staff. We will continue

The staff are very friendly and truly care for our pets. I wish they had treats/bones/food and toys on display that you could buy. We love bringing our cat there!!
