As a busy first home buyer, the entire home buying process is extremely stressful. I was glad that I was able to do everything via email. They set up my appointment within 24 hours. They gave me multiple times to choose from. During the inspection, I was allowed to ask questions. John was very thorough and showed me lots of pictures of spaces I did not see, like the attic and crawl space. I got the report in less than 24 hours. It was a very good experience, and I would recommend them to anyone I know.

Ive been hiring Russ and his company for 2 years now. The reports are always detailed, and they get to everything. They know what their doing and their inspectors take the time to answer your questions during the inspection. I dont bother with anyone else, i go straight to Russ when i need a report done.

Everything was provided in the inspection that I would need to know about especially with the age of the house. What could be a better feeling than knowing that you have an overall report of what you’re walking into with a house that is new-to-you. Referrals and if I need this service again will go to Assure.

My home sold recently and the buyer's home inspection company found mold in my attic. My realtor recommended Assure to help me with mold remediation service as recent work I had done in a bathroom was not properly ventilated causing mold issues. After contacting them it took one day for Assure to come see what the situation was and I was given a verbal quote... which was followed by a written proposal
Everything was exact and date for the work was squeezed in to accommodate my closing date.
The crew came on time. Tarps were put down to protect my wooden floors and the workers were efficient,

Stay as far away from this company as you possibly can. They did an inspection for my Home as a first time buyer and missed items that nearly killed me. From day one, the house exhibited major problems. I bought the property on August 27, I have had electrical outlets explode, nonstop plumbing issues including several floods, a sewage explosion under the home, and carbon monoxide poisoning from gas piping out of building code. It is true that some of the plumbing issues could not have been identified but the gas pipes are open and easily seen that the joints between the pipes are the wrong metal

My wife and I recently purchased a home and used Russ for our inspection. We are very pleased with his service and expertise. He allowed my wife and I to be present for the inspection and educated us through the entire process. His company provides you with a clear break down of everything found during the inspection. Our realtor told us we did not need to get radon levels tested however Russ noticed the home next door had a mitigation system and recommended testing. Radon came back twice the normal level and we were able to get the sellers to put in a mitigation system as well as additional credits

So I moved into my house in the fall. I have had a lot of issues that should have been caught by this inspection company to begin with. In example..none of my windows were even caulked after the windows were installed. This was caught by two separate handymen within minutes of seeing my home..This company was referred to me by my realtor, and I thought I had gone the right route until an array of things were pointed out to me within a few months of moving in that were never discovered during the inspection. We received prompt replies, and a quick schedule time. They showed up in a clearly marked company vehicle, on schedule. They spent hours inspecting the home thoroughly. Upon their departure, they cleaned up and did not leave a mess behind. We were very pleased with this company, and would recommend. We felt that they were accurate, honest and fair.

Lack of attention to details, inept, mishandled paperwork, that's what you will get. Seemed to only have general knowledge that your dad or Uncle can probably address more pertinent issues.
You might be better off watching a few YouTube videos then doing your own inspection.
They missed 2 active infestations, Mud daubers (wasps) in the side attic.
Carpenter ants in the basement.
Both which we found about a month after we moved in, on our own.
The exterminator said that had the inspector looked, there was no way to miss that they had been active for quite a while.
I could maybe let the wasps

I contacted Assure Home Inspections to check out a mold issue in my attic. They promptly did the inspection and gave me an estimate soon thereafter. A few days later, Aaron arrived as promised and completed the job without issue. They were easy to deal with, and answered all of my questions. Nice people!

We have know Russ for over 5 years and know how dedicated he is with attention to detail. We mentioned that it appeared several shingles blew off our roof. Russ said that he would take a look at it. Within a couple of days, it was completely blended in and fixed. We are planning on putting our house on the market and are going to have him to a "pre-inspection" to ensure it sells for top dollar.

Beware of this company. We hired Russ to inspect our house in Mokena and learned a few months later that he missed the attic. When asked about it, he said he can't remember if he went up there or not. His error costs us over $10,000 in repairs. While he told us he felt bad about it but didn't spilt the repairs. I would highly recommend another firm, NOT Assure Home Inspection.

Russ did a wonderful job in inspecting our first house. We wanted to make sure everything was good and Russ checked everything out for us and showed us everything that needed attention he even made recommendations to improve things in the house. He took his time to make sure that I knew all about the furnace maintenance. Very detail oriented and very patient. I think we bought the house that we will live in for a very long time but if we ever buy another house Russ will definitely be my inspector. Highly recommend Russ! I shopped around for inspectors and his price was the best as well! Thank you
