Huge rooms, bed was comfy. Restroom toilet is small, careful with the 1-ply, it'll still clog the toilet. The dishwasher is outdated but we didn't use it. TV is small for the room size. Rooms are also not carpeted, which gives it an hacienda feel. Check-in staff was nice, the restaurant and drinks however are not impressive.

I spent 4 days here.. And all I can say is, I will be back!! Its awesome! Its dog friendly so all your fur babies can come with you!! The rooms are nice and large! Beds are very comfy! Has a very nice pool area, closed for winter, but the pool deck seems very nice! It is a full service restaurant in the main lobby, just a great hotel!

Had a brief Stay 11/6 for a wedding : in Rm 225 .
Absolutely loved the spacious room : With a coffeemaker(Actually gave you enough) , Microwave , small refrigerator , great cable TV balcony. Very tastefully furnished & clean
As woman over 65 traveling alone, I felt safe. just ask about the stairs as I didn't see an elevator.
The lobby was fun : kids would love it : like a Natural history Museum! I didn't eat in restaurant.
The staff was friendly. I had forgotten how many fun things there are to do in Kerrville esp. in Fall !!

This place could really use an update. The rooms are in pretty good condition but really show their age. Was hoping to use the restaurant here for dinner, however they're closed on Sunday. So no food, just drinks. They do have a shuttle, which is great. The real disappointment are the rooms. Huge potential if remodeled.

An authentic Hill Country experience. Old fashioned Texas hospitality made us feel welcome, relaxed and at home. The lobby is dramatic The pool was awesome. Conveniently located. We tip our hats to Richard in the Saloon. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. The place shows its age a little but is well maintained. So glad we didn't book a chain hotel for a family gathering.

Stayed here for a conference and was very disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The staff was not accommodating when I asked for a first floor room. I was told that they don't switch around rooms. My room smelled very moldy. At one time this was a very nice hotel with friendly staff but not anymore!!!

The pictures of both the hotel and the restaurant were very misleading. Our room was so humid the bedding and towels were damp. We were tired after being on the road for 5 hours so decided to grab dinner on-site since we both love a good steak. We were told the kitchen was backed up terribly so the waiter urged us to eat off of the buffet. We gave… it a go and was disappointed to say the least. We ordered a couple mixed drinks, and neither were anything like the description. It started to pour so we went to waste some time at the bar, where it took 20 minutes to get acknowledged for 2 beers

Thanksgiving Buffet? Better off with a Swansons TV dinner at least it will have "Cranberry Sauce" !
AVOID
Best going to Cracker Barrel or Golden Coral for you holiday buffet
STORY
Arrived at reservation time of 2PM and there was a 5-10 min wait for Mixed vegetables thenMashed Potatoes then white meat then Cranberry sauce, individually..
Then after 10min wait I was informed that there was no more cranberry sauce..
Seemed like every stop there was an outage and no "Just in time" replenishment of food
Thanksgiving without cranberry sauce? Almost like a hamburger without

We stayed here while in town for a slingshot rally. The hotel was nice, a little outdated, but overall the prices and accommodations were okay. The restaurant we tried for breakfast. Our server encouraged us to do the buffet as he didn't really act like he wanted us to order from the menu. For the price and the options on the buffet, we didn't feel like it was a good value. We are not big buffet people to start with as usually the quality is lacking vs being able to order what you want.
We did do sandwiches in the bar one evening after the rally. Only one staff person which made it quite

We checked in after a long drive and the front desk staff was excellent. Chris the clerk that helped us is one of the only reasons I am giving this hotel two stars and not one. He was very polite, and honestly, we thought that was the beginning of a wonderful weekend.
The room was clean, no carpet. The red tile was nice but without a rug, the room echoed. The king size bed looked comfortable however sleeping on it was reminiscent of camping and sleeping on the hard ground. I was tempted to look into another hotel for our second night because I hurt so much the next day.

Two night stay for the Rooster clan visiting Kerrville with our car club. Built in 1984, the place could use a facelift. I do believe however they got a few things right in the beginning. First, nice touch having an outdoor space for every room. Most places you have to pay extra for a balcony slash patio; no extra charge at the YO. Next, the huge lobby is fantastic minus the very phallic giraffe. Go ahead and look during your future visit. Once you see it; you can't unsee it.
The corridors for the rooms are right out of The Shining. I think they could have taken that into account since it
