The odor in the hallways was a HUGE bad first impression. The room smelled slightly better but our sinuses knew something was wrong with mold/mildew. You might want to fix that? We were in the south building. North building smelled pretty much the same. For the price you charge per night it should not smell like that. $75 per night hotel sure... We loved the layout of the property and it has plenty of things to do. But the smell is just insanely bad. The room itself was clean and was really nice and had everything we needed to make dinner. When you fix the odor issues we'll be back...

Bay shore is one of the most beautiful places we’ve been! Our family enjoyed every moment of it! We loved everything, from the kayaks/paddle boards, to the beautiful sunsets, to the non-stop swimming! The rooms were also spacious and wonderful. We CAN’T WAIT to go back next year! Already booked!
Also, Sonja is AMAZING! She is kind, caring and so helpful!

This has been a great place for years but it needs updating ASAP. We stayed recently and noticed several problems that don't have to be there. The bed in the master bedroom is shot. The mattress should have been replaced a year ago. Waves in the ocean! The bathroom cabinets are cheap. The exercise room is locked, and the key is in another building. Which is understandable considering the little kids running around, my room keys could have been set to open the door. The location is away from anywhere you want to find food, so you have to drive to restaurants.

Did a lot of research before finding this gem. I could have stayed in our room the entire time. It had a huge living room, separate dining room, bathroom with whirlpool tub, balcony, and kitchen with full-size appliances. It even included plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, pot/pans, and cooking utensils. We only ate out for dinner and cooked everything else in the room. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

We love this place and only wish we could afford to own here. It is wonderful and we can't say enough about how clean it is, how comfortable the beds are and what a great water view it has. Everyone is so very nice and we even arrived to a complimentary bottle of wine from a local winery. Very nice and highly recommended.

After some research and reading previous reviews, I decided on this place for our 3-night stay in Door County. It had everything we needed and much more. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette and Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The view from the balcony was also amazing. The whole stay was peaceful, relaxing and comfortable. Our suite was very clean and had everything we needed. I even mentioned special occasion getaway while booking and there was a complimentary bottle of wine from a local winery waiting for us on the counter. We were lucky enough to have warm weather

My family has been coming to Bay Shore Inn for 20 years. My parents are owners my brother and sisters share vacation time.
Bay Shore Inn is a wonderful place to take a vacation. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The outdoor pool is pleasant and relaxing (ok, sometimes kids play in the pool, but it's fun to watch them play). The outdoor fire pit is a great place to meet in the evenings to watch the sun set and enjoy a beer and hotdog :). Outdoor gas grills are available for grilling. I love the location and the amenities here. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful, and the grounds were well manicured and very clean. The pools were nice and warm, though the hot tub was a touch too hot to be comfortable for more than a few minutes. The rooms were very large! I found the sofas a bit uncomfortable to sit on, but the beds were nice, which is more important to me, personally. Things felt a little damp indoors, I think maybe due to the rain and only window unit A/C, but I never smelled mold, so maybe it was just me being sensitive to the humidity inside. I loved having

Absolutely the best place to stay in Door County. We love our supreme room 102 that has a lakefront view. I'm sitting outside on the patio, listening to the sounds of the lake waves hitting the shore. It's the closest thing to being on the ocean!
This place has so many amenities, it accommodates families with people of all ages. We love this place so much we have already made a reservation for next year!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. This was our first time in Door County, we were visiting from California, and didn't know what to expect. I heard that Sturgeon Bay was busy and had really wanted to stay in one of the other towns (none offered 2 night stays). I am so happy it worked out the way it did. The Bay Shore Inn is located far from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sturgeon Bay. It is so peaceful and traquil that I completely forgot about the cranes and activitiy we drove through to get there.

We found this place from Trip Advisor as we wanted a nice place where the kid could play. This place is perfect. I know there is not always a lot to do around the area when a kid (let alone a high school college kid since the whole county seems to close down at 9PM) and so this place really helps. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, playground, lot of grassy area to play catch, a beach with sand, boats to rent, tennis courts, etc. I found this place to offer a lot more than I anticipated. It is not too close to downtown Sturgeon Bay (maybe 4 miles) and it's about a 20 mile hike to Sister

I spent a long weekend at the Bay Shore Inn and I loved every second of it. I bought the winter wonderland package for my girlfriend and myself and the level of service I received was amazing! The staff went above and beyond what was needed to make sure I was receiving the level of service I desired. The package included an amazing trip to a few different wineries as well as some hot spots around Door County.
The rooms were very clean and very accommodating. The kitchen had more utensils than mine does at home. I can honestly say that I will be returning to the Bay Shore Inn in the future!

Just returned home from a 3 night retreat up to Door. This was my first time and had a blast! My gf booked the winter special and was very impressed with the charming main lodge, layout, location and views. They recommended some great places to eat and were very helpful navigating the peninsula. We will return soon!

BSI was recently remodeled, and the suites are "rentals" which means that the decor is slightly personalized. Overall, this place is very much like a home away from home and one of the most peaceful places on Earth!
