We are fully insured moving company and offers also complete packing and unpacking services.
Complete Moving Services: We pack living rooms, bedrooms, closets, garages, bathrooms, kitchens and offices, including computers, file cabinets and much more. Both business and residential moving services are available. Complete Unpack Moving Services: We will help by unpacking and setting up kitchens, offices, file cabinets, garages, and other rooms.
Unfortunately, despite great care, there is always the remote possibility that some damage may occur. We, at AK Movers, insure the goods of all of our customers. The standard liability for all licensed movers is $0.60 per pound per article. However, additional insurance can be secured at a rate of $10.00 per $1000.00 of declared value.

We just completed a move from an apartment in Baltimore to a house in Rockville, MD. This is a fantastic moving company! We were given a very accurate estimate for the move, and there were no surprises or hidden charges. The movers arrived on time, worked very efficiently, and were so nice to work with. AK Movers charges a very fair price, and the owner (Art Manukyan) was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns.

The good: The company was responsive and the movers worked quickly.
The bad: The movers were over an hour late. My dining table and chairs sustained a lot of damage because they were moved unprotected even though furniture padding and protection was supposed to be included in the price.
Price: $600 to move a studio apartment within a 10 mile radius + $40 tip

I called last minute and they had another scheduled appointment, but they were in the area and made time to come help move just my piano to another apartment real quick. The people who came to move my piano were considerate and efficient. Had a good experience with them!

First off, Art was extremely courteous and professional. I hate moving, I absolutely hate everything about it, but Art and his moving helper got everything out of my 1 bedroom apartment, and moved it into my new 2 bedroom apartment (10 min drive away) in less than 3 hours. The efficiency was amazing, and well worth the price I paid. Moving is not cheap, no matter how you slice it, but I got everything moved in with no issues, and no complaints. I will recommend them to people going forward and will most certainly use them again.

I’ve moved a lot in my life and it’s always stressful. I found AK movers a few weeks back and scheduled them for my move that occurred today, and they did a phenomenal job. On time, efficient & quick, and personable. Well worth the price and I will definitely use them again.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was expecting very good service since they were one of the top rated moving companies in the area. They didn't wear their masks even though they were asked to wear them. We are still in the middle of the pandemic. In the middle of the move, one of the movers goes into my bathroom and locks both doors. At least ask before going. They were also very rude and moved at a slow pace (they charge per hour). Very bad customer service over all.

I am grateful AK Movers jumped in to help me move apartments after my movers had to cancel last minute! I conducted the move virtually, because I wasn't on site, and received the kindest notes from Art (of AK Movers) and my Property Manager throughout the process. Hired AK Movers for 4-bed MD to VA move on 06/20/20. I told Art we had a lot of stuff. I emailed on 6/14 telling Art to bring a big truck. He said he could bring 2-20ft trucks for a $100 more - NOT included in the estimate. Art and 3 men arrived on 6/20 with 2-20ft trucks. Workers were courteous. The first time I used these movers they were wonderful. Not sure what changed but this go-round made me never want to use them again. In short, the owner called me letting me know that part of his crew did not show up. As such, he switched me from a two-person crew to a three-person crew (and failed to tell me that this crew would be much more expensive but we will get to that). Great company, all other moving companies in the area gave me an estimate that is 60-80% over AK Movers with less services and labor!
I had Turan and Audrey helping me today from Georgetown and those men are just great and honest!
Finished their job within the estimated time, no hidden fees or typical dishonest moves by other companies!

Art and his team at AK Movers made our move hassel free. They showed up 15 minutes early ready to go. The load up was smooth and efficient. Art and his team maneuvered the truck great, parking it right in front of our townhouse. The crew was very careful with our stuff and was easy to work with. They took care to protect our hardwood floors and had all of our furniture wrapped in blankets. They also stayed on schedule and met the anticipated time to finish the move. We've dealt with a lot of movers and AK Movers was great. I highly recommend using AK Movers.

Had an excellent experience with AK Movers. When I requested a quote on Yelp to multiple movers, they were the fastest to respond and had the most detailed and transparent cost breakdown.
When making the appointment, staff was cordial and was able to help me reschedule when I had a last minute conflict.
The moving process itself was very quick professionally done. The movers were very friendly and were able to move my items, which included heavy boxes and multiple pieces of furniture, with no issue or damage.
